The Brooklyn Nets will be a top 4 team in the East if Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving play

I don't know if they'll want, but they were like before Kevin Durant got hurt, they were the one seed last year. I think if Kyrie and Kevin Durant and that's a big if play, they will be a top I don't know what we call it, three, four, four team in the East.

The Nets finished as the 6th seed in the 2022-23 season after a mid-season blow-up where both stars were traded.

Hard Knocks episode three is when you realize you're just ready for real football

That feeling of Hard Knocks episode one is one of the best feelings in the calendar because you're like, we want football. And then you get to episode three and you're like, okay, I wanna play real games.

This is a subjective sentiment about the sports calendar.

New technology is ruining the art of slacking off in professional sports

[Easy] dealt with something that I realized during this show, I would absolutely hate about being a professional athlete, which is every practice, every rep is videotaped. I think technology's it's ruining the art of slacking off.

Subjective observation about the impact of film on player work ethic.

Kevin Durant's staying in Brooklyn signals the end of extreme player empowerment

I just feel like the way that this whole thing went down, it's gonna wake up a lot of different GMs and owners around the league where it's like, oh yeah, you don't actually have to trade somebody just because they ask you to. I think this is like one of those course correction things where the pendulum is gonna swing back away from player empowerment.

While it seemed that way in August, Durant successfully forced a trade to the Suns just months later in February 2023.

The goal allowed by the US goalie was the most embarrassing possible

What about the goalie? Yeah, I mean he... that was the most embarrassing goal that I've ever seen. Possible.

While subjective, the blunder by the US goalkeeper (Freeze/Turner) was widely mocked as a 'MAC football' level mistake.

The USMNT is the 'James Franklin Penn State' of soccer

People were making very mean jokes online that we were James Franklin, Penn State. And it is actually perfectly appropriate because if you look at who we played, we beat the teams we're supposed to beat... and then we absolutely got ass fucked by the team that was better than us in Belgium. We are not who we thought we were.

Subjective comparison.

We just suck at soccer as a country and that's okay

My take is we suck at soccer and that's okay. Like, I don't care that we suck at soccer anymore. I'm going to root for the US team. I'm gonna get excited when we're in a World Cup. I'm gonna get hyped up and it's gonna be fun to watch. And then I'm gonna be reminded that we suck at soccer and that it's just gonna be like, okay, yeah, that's okay.

Subjective perspective on American soccer.
