The Eagles are the best team in the NFC

I'll say it. Eagles is the best team in the NFC after today. They are... they're the best team in the NFC as of right now.

The Eagles finished with a high seed but the Lions ultimately earned the #1 seed and represented the NFC in the Super Bowl.

The Commanders are not gonna win a playoff game if they keep playing like this

The commanders, they're, they're a good team, but I don't think that they're where they, they're not gonna win a playoff game if they keep playing like this.

The Commanders made the playoffs but were eliminated in the first round (Wild Card) by the Buccaneers.

Patrick Mahomes will be totally fine despite his high ankle sprain

Do we believe it? Do we think it matters? Because he, I feel like this happens to him once a year and he ends up being totally fine and everyone's like, oh man, he's banged up, but it'll be fine.

Mahomes did not miss time and the Chiefs continued their run to the Super Bowl.

Jameis Winston's time as the starting quarterback in Cleveland is over

The bigger story is it might be over for Jamis [Winston] in Cleveland... When you get benched for DTR, it's bad. He was on, I'll say this, if you watch this game, the Chief's defensive line was on fire and Jamis had no time.

Winston actually started the final three games of the season for Cleveland despite being benched in this specific game.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
