The Packers will beat the Lions on Thanksgiving because their defense is the best unit on the field.

I kind of like, I think the Packers might win this game. I just, I feel like the Packers defense is the best unit in this.

The Packers beat the Lions 31-24 on Thanksgiving 2025. Big Cat was right that Green Bay would win, and their defense played well with Micah Parsons logging 2.5 sacks.

The 49ers are good enough to overcome multiple turnovers from Brock Purdy

To be up at half after your quarterback throwing three interceptions... it just shows that the Niners are starting to, you know, they're good enough that they can overcome those things.

The 49ers beat the Panthers 34-17 in the game discussed despite Purdy's three interceptions.

James Madison will be snubbed from the College Football Playoff despite what the computer models say.

I'm assuming that we're gonna get fucked according to like ESPN FPI, all that stuff. Every computer has JMU in the playoff... but the committee has made it pretty clear that they just have a hard on for the American. So whoever wins the American, I'm just assuming, is going to get into the playoff.

The JMU Dukes were indeed excluded from the 2025 College Football Playoff field.

JMU is the number one destination for any up-and-coming head coach

I think that that would cement JMU as being the number one destination for any up and coming coach. Yep. If they want to get paid, which is a good spot to be in.

This is a subjective claim about the attractiveness of a coaching job, though JMU's recent track record of coaches moving to P5 jobs supports the trend.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
