The Rams are no longer a Super Bowl team

Panic button. I'm pressing the panic button. I'm saying panic button because they have, they're the Super Bowl champs. They want to go back to the Super Bowl. I think they probably still go to the playoffs. But panic button. This isn't a Super Bowl team.

The 2022 Rams finished 5-12, missing the playoffs entirely and confirming they were not contenders.

Justin Tucker and Evan McPherson are the two best kickers in the NFL

Really what this game is, it's a battle between the two best kickers in the NFL. Justin Tucker and Evan McPherson just sort of like flexing at each other. They're doing almost ballet style poses after they drill a 60 yard field goal.

While subjective, both kickers were widely considered the elite tier of the league in 2022, with Tucker being an all-time great.

Brian Daboll is a fantastic head coach

Brian Daboll is a fucking awesome coach. I'm gonna say he is a Hoss, he's awesome. I like his entire coaching staff actually like Wink Martindale. No one thought the Giants were gonna be four and one.

The Giants went on to make the playoffs and win a road playoff game in Daboll's first year, validating this assessment.

The Giants are a legitimately good football team, not a fluke

I know that the Giants are a legitimately good team. They're like a well coached team right now. They're not the most talented team, but I'm not even gonna have the discussion of whether they're like one of the worst four and one teams of all time because they're just a good four and one team.

The 2022 Giants finished 9-7-1 and won a playoff game, proving they were a legitimate threat.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
