The Sixers cannot win a championship with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons together; they should trade Simmons to the Bulls for Zach LaVine and the No. 4 pick.

The like sports radio call-in—like you need to trade one of the two and just build around the other—I think is actually now true. I do not think that you can win with both those guys. You gotta try to figure it out—maybe trade Ben Simmons to the Bulls for Zach LaVine and the number four pick. There you go.

The Embiid-Simmons era ended without a championship when Simmons was traded to the Nets in 2022.

The Hawks and Kings missed out on a generational superstar in Luka Doncic and they will regret it for the next 20 years.

I'm just going to say it to the Hawks who traded [Luka Doncic] on draft night to the Kings that took Marvin Bagley—bad drafts happen. They'll worry about it. You miss on a generational superstar that is going to be incredible in the NBA for the next 20 years. Shit happens, man.

Luka Doncic quickly became a perennial All-NBA First Team selection and one of the league's faces, while the Kings' pick Marvin Bagley struggled.

Paul George is a pathetic second banana who stinks in the playoffs and doesn't deserve to be called a superstar.

Playoff P, Playoff PP—holy shit, that guy stinks. I don't understand how you can be considered a superstar. You would say that Playoff P is at the top of the list for second bananas, and then the playoffs come around and it's like, dude, have you played basketball before?

George's playoff reputation remains a point of intense debate, but his 2020 performance was statistically poor.

Giannis Antetokounmpo must make the NBA Finals this year or the narrative will turn against him

I got to take about giannis... he's got to go to the finals this year. That's all I'm going to say because when he dunks on the magic up 20 and like pounds his chest... if he gets stopped in the Eastern Conference Final again, like you can't do that where you just in the first round your piece and then in the second and third round you get shut down.

The Bucks lost in the second round to the Miami Heat in 2020, leading to exactly the narrative Big Cat predicted, until they won the title in 2021.

Kevin Willard's joke about firing his staff was funny and shouldn't have been taken seriously

It was such a clear joke and people, I couldn't believe... There were people who actually thought he was being serious. I thought it was a funny joke. And then we had the people trying to cover for themselves being like, well, even if it was a joke, that's not a joke you make. Imagine if you're an assistant and you hear your boss say that.

Whether a joke is funny or appropriate is subjective.

The lack of Cinderellas in the tournament isn't due to NIL but because big teams are more efficient and physical

Todd Golden had a very good point... part of the reason why there's less upsets is teams are just getting way more efficient in scoring at the rim and becoming almost like raising their floor and becoming upset proof in the fact that you get really big dudes... and absolutely hammer the boards. And when you do that against smaller schools, you're not gonna like, how do big schools lose the small schools is like three point variance.

This is an analytical opinion on sports trends that can't be definitively proven right or wrong.

The Sweet 16 in Houston won't be a home game for the Cougars because Iowa and Nebraska fans travel too well

Illinois, Nebraska and Iowa have some pretty big fan bases that are all gonna wanna travel, especially Nebraska... I don't think it's gonna be like they're gonna take over the place, but I don't think it's gonna be 80% Houston at this game.

The attendance split of the Sweet 16 regional in Houston will determine this.
