Trent Williams should be in the conversation for NFL MVP

Trent Williams should be in the conversation for MVP. When the 49ers have had Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams and everyone else, they have not lost. They are a juggernaut in every sense of the word.

While Williams is widely regarded as the best at his position, he did not receive significant MVP votes, as the award went to Lamar Jackson. However, the take is an opinion on value.

Puka Nacua's diving catch against the Ravens is the catch of the year so far

That one diving catch that [Puka Nacua] had. I'm putting that, that's my catch of the year so far. Wow. When you take into account everything around it with the weather and the stage and who it was against.

This is subjective, though many analysts cited Nacua's catches in 2023 as among the best.

The Ravens are currently the best team in the AFC

I believe in the Ravens. I think the Ravens are the best team in the AFC.

The Ravens finished the regular season as the #1 seed in the AFC with a 13-4 record.

Sean McVay might be doing his best coaching job yet with the current Rams roster

It feels like we should do the conversation that this might be Sean McVay's best coaching job because it is a group that is not star-studded. It's not like the Super Bowl team. Their defense is a lot of young guys and Aaron Donald, and their offense—I mean, Puka [Nacua] is what, a fifth rounder? And just in Kyron Williams. Sean McVay just schemes everyone open and has an offense work that is incredible.

The Rams made the playoffs as a wild card and took the Lions to the brink in the first round, validating this as one of McVay's better coaching performances.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
