Because if he had played, they might have won a bunch more games and they might have not gotten the number one pick. So they told him like, Trae, we're going to take care of you, don't worry. So we're on the same page, we're invested in you, we're going to bench you.

I did not have a feel for how low of a value that Jaylen Brown was in the NBA. I just didn't have a feel for it. Teams were rejecting Jaylen Brown, the offers, even for the draft picks, like three and four picks. They were rejecting it.
