The 2026 Stanley Cup Finals will be a matchup between the Dallas Stars and the Florida Panthers

I'll take Dallas, Florida [for the Stanley Cup Finals next year].

The 2026 Stanley Cup Finals were played between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Vegas Golden Knights, not the Dallas Stars and the Florida Panthers. The Carolina Hurricanes won the series.

The Mavericks should be favored as the primary threat to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the West next season

Should the Mavericks be favored to be the team that gives Oklahoma City a run for its money out of the West next season? Think about it. It seems like they're the next one up.

The Dallas Mavericks finished the 2025-26 NBA season with a 26-56 record, placing 12th in the Western Conference and failing to make the playoffs. The Oklahoma City Thunder, the #1 seed in the West, were eliminated in the Western Conference Finals by the San Antonio Spurs, who were the primary threat.

Cooper Flagg could make close to a billion dollars in the NBA by age 32

If everything goes well for [Cooper Flagg] and he signs all of his extensions and everything... he could make close to a billion dollars in the NBA by age 32. He has a $62 million rookie deal... then he'd get the 30% supermax, which would be $359 million. And then he would get the 35% supermax, which would be $509 million.

This is a long-term prediction dependent on the NBA salary cap increasing and Flagg performing at a Supermax level.

The Pelicans' trade from pick 23 to 13 was the worst trade ever

Pelicans. Oh boy. Yep. That was the worst trade ever. They traded from 23 up to 13 and they gave away their unprotected first round pick next year. Actually worse than that. They have the Bucks pick as well. Whichever one is better, is higher. And if the Bucks trade Giannis, that could literally just be two shots at getting the one pick... I don't know what Joe Dumars was thinking. It's a fleecing.

The 'worst ever' claim is a subjective evaluation of a trade's value.

The Hurricanes are a true old-school hockey team

I've totally switched my tune on them. The way that they play... Rod the Ball fun group to watch just 'cause they all play the same way. They're like a true old school hockey team that everyone, you know, the saying, everyone ropes, everybody rides, nobody rides for free.

This describes the team's known identity and culture.

The Golden Knights are a ruthless and cutthroat organization

Vegas is very, very cutthroat and they've proven that... if you're not producing for it, they'll get rid of you... They trading all their draft picks because they wanna win. They wanna win now. And I, I don't see it stopping.

Vegas's history of trading favorites like Fleury and Marchessault supports this 'ruthless' reputation.

Mitch Marner will be the player everyone in hockey roots for to win the Cup

I think everybody in hockey except for Toronto, people are rooting for Mitch... with the abuse that he's taken in the media, I think he's a guy you want, you wanna see him win that cup... He just looks like he's playing with the house's money right now.

In this timeline, Marner is a Golden Knight. Rooting interest is subjective.
