Mike McCarthy will be fired as Cowboys head coach exactly one year from today

Mike McCarthy is the lamest of ducks right now because he knows that Sean, this is Sean Payton's job. I'm first reporting it right now. Mike McCarthy has been fired as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys exactly a year from today, minus two weeks.

Mike McCarthy was still the head coach of the Cowboys a year later and remained so through the 2024 season.

Sean Payton will join Amazon for their NFL coverage

I'm like 90% sure I can predict what's going to happen in the next two years for Sean Payton, Amazon. Amazon... They might put them in a booth with Drew Brees.

Sean Payton joined FOX Sports as a studio analyst for the 2022 season, not Amazon.

Adam Schefter will likely leave ESPN in the near future

Schefter... maybe Schefter thinking, you know, I'm going to be leaving ESPN soon. I can start giving a couple back here... Do you think Schefter lets Rappaport break the news that he leaves ESPN?

Adam Schefter signed a massive multi-year extension with ESPN in March 2022, just months after this prediction.

Hiring an executive from the Kansas City Chiefs organization is always a winning move for the Chicago Bears

The Bears got a new GM, Ryan Poles... pretty much the news there is that he's from the Chiefs. Chiefs have good players. It's never been a bad thing for the Bears to hire someone from the Chiefs staff.

Bears had great 2025 (11-6, NFC North title, first playoff win since 2010) with former Chiefs executives Ryan Poles as GM and Ted Crews.

The Bills could have three or four Super Bowls without kickers

You can make the argument that the Buffalo Bills would have like three or four Super Bowls if kickers weren't a thing in football. You can make the argument that the Patriots might not have had the start of that dynasty if it wasn't for kickers.

The claim is a counterfactual and cannot be definitively verified.

Jalen Hurts will answer the Titans by beating them as a passer

I actually think Jalen Hurts is good enough as a quarterback that when somebody dares him to do that, he could say, 'Fuck you, I will beat you as a quarterback.' And then stay in the pocket and throw for like 300 yards and three touchdowns.

Hurts' passing production against Tennessee will determine this prediction.

The Jaguars would be the second-best team in football if they win in Denver

If they win this game in Denver, I would put them maybe second in the power rankings behind the Jets.

The Jaguars' win and their resulting standing in PFT's power rankings are the relevant conditions; the ranking itself is subjective.
