The NFL schedule release will eventually become a massive corporate primetime event with a bracket

At some point Roger Goodell is gonna do to the schedule release what he's done with the draft and just market the shit out of it and like take it on the road each year and turn it into like an hour long, two hour long primetime event where he just announces like one week's worth at a time... it's gonna be a massive fucking corporatized sensation.

The NFL has already turned it into a primetime TV special, though they haven't yet reached the 'traveling road show' level of the Draft.

If you are a top five player, you have to be able to pull your team out of the depths of hell

If you're a top five guy—and actually Jayson Tatum said it after the game, humbly, 'I'm one of the best players in the world'—if you're that guy, you have to be able to take your team out of the depths of hell in those moments. And that's exactly what [Tatum] did.

This is a subjective standard for superstardom.

NBA Game 7s are a completely different animal where momentum means nothing

Momentum doesn't matter. That's one thing that I've learned is momentum means nothing. Because going into this series, going into this game, all the, all the momentum was going towards the Sixers after the Celtics won two, it looked like the Sixers were dead. Momentum means nothing. Game seven is one game. Throw out everything else.

The Celtics won Game 7 decisively (112-88), arguably carrying the momentum from their Game 6 road win.

The pairing of James Harden and Doc Rivers in a Game 7 does not look good on paper

If you have James Harden and Doc Rivers with their powers combined in a game seven, that doesn't look very good for the 76ers on paper.

This proved correct as the Sixers were blown out in Game 7 and Doc Rivers was subsequently fired.

The Rams' Australia travel plan was an all-time 'fuck it' move

It was a terrible idea that Sean McVay tried to do, but I have to respect how much of an all-time fuck-it move it was to just pretend that time zones don't exist. He was just like, you know what, fuck it, we're not gonna adapt. We're gonna fly in, fly out.

The Rams lost the Australia opener after using the fly-in/fly-out approach, supporting the criticism in this game-specific judgment.

KOC will get the best out of Kyler Murray

I think that what he's gonna get the absolute best outta Kyler Murray that he possibly can at this point, which I think should be good enough to be a pretty good team this year.

Kyler Murray's 2026 season and Minnesota's performance will determine whether this forecast holds.

Jayden Daniels is going to remind everyone that the bad man is back

I think Jayden Daniels, he's as healthy as he has been since the start of last season. ... I think that he's gonna remind a lot of people who he is. Yeah. That's what I think. I think the bad man might be back.

Daniels' 2026 season will determine whether he re-established himself as an elite or feared quarterback.
