The NFL should have scheduled a league-wide bye week in the middle of the season to handle COVID-19 delays

Why didn't the NFL just schedule an extra week in the middle of the season to be like, okay, best-case scenario. Everyone just gets an extra bye week... worst-case scenario like that. What's happening every team that has missed a game can make it up in week 8.5?

The NFL did not add a league-wide mid-season bye, instead opting to shuffle individual team schedules and eventually adding a 'Week 18' buffer only if necessary (which they didn't use for regular season games that year).

Mike Zimmer made the correct decision to go for it on fourth down against the Seahawks

We 100% agreed together we watch the game and we said Mike Zimmer. This is a good move. Essentially we didn't even do it in a mass way. We said what do the Seahawks want the Vikings to do they? They want to kick they want the Vikings kick a field goal because they haven't stopped shit all night.

The Vikings failed to convert and lost the game, but the take is a subjective defense of strategy.

The Seahawks' bright green uniforms are the reason they can't stop the run

The Seattle Seahawks defense was they looked like a bunch of mall security guards wearing those like bright green like the guys in the parking lot... They didn't look like a professional defense... if you want a hard-hitting defense, they can stop the run those real [traditional] uniforms look sweet. No, if they go full color rush highlighter, I'm down for it. No, the two-tone is terrible.

Uniform color has no verifiable impact on a team's rush defense statistics.

The Seahawks defense is so bad that they cannot go deep in the playoffs

Russell Wilson is incredible and maybe when Jamal Adams is out there the Seahawks will look better. But from what I saw. I saw from the Seahawks and watching them. You know, I think we've watched every single one of their games and that defense doesn't get fixed. They can't they can't win a plate like they can't go deep in the playoffs.

The Seahawks finished 12-4 but lost in the Wild Card round to the Rams, essentially proving the 'no deep run' prediction correct.

Nate Oats needs to teach his players to never let the police look through their phones

Let the Aden Holloway situation be a reminder to everybody that you don't have to let the police look through your phone. I actually point the finger at Nate Oats for this, because Nate Oats, you gotta do a better job of explaining the first through fifth amendments to your players. Given the history that you've had... day one you should have a, get the guys from Morgan & Morgan to come in and be like, 'Do not talk to the police if you're in trouble. Shut the fuck up.'

This is a satirical advice piece and commentary on Nate Oats' coaching responsibilities.

Mark Pope is on the hot seat at Kentucky after this tournament performance

Mark Pope on the hot seat. I think he is. I mean, I think they're gonna bring him back. I think he's safe for this year, but I think he's going into next year. Seat is warm.

Pending — Mark Pope's job status at Kentucky after the 2025-26 season is not yet resolved.

Every major college coaching opening should start by calling Brad Stevens and making him say no

You gotta make him say no. You gotta call Brad Stevens and make him say no. I will personally never stop saying that. He probably wakes up every morning and says no. Voicemail just says, 'Thank you so much for the consideration, but it's gonna be a no.' It would be shocking if he ever took another college job.

This is an opinion on coaching search strategy.
