The New York Knicks will regret not going further in the 2025 playoffs

I think when time comes and you look back at this year, you're gonna regret not going farther. And you're gonna understand how golden of an opportunity this was to get to the finals with all of the injuries and the path just opening wide up.

This is subjective, as it depends on future Knicks success, but the 2025 East was notably injury-plagued.

Karl-Anthony Towns is the greatest scapegoat in NBA history

I think Kat [Karl-Anthony Towns] is the greatest scapegoat in NBA history in terms of like, this happened with him with the Timberwolves too. And I'm not saying the Kat is a perfect player... But Kat is not like your only problem. He's still a big guy. And you'd rather, if you have a problem on defense, you'd rather he be a large man than a small man.

Towns has a long history of being the primary target for criticism on his teams, making the 'scapegoat' label a valid point of debate.

Cal Raleigh is a legitimate MVP candidate and deserves more national attention

Cal Raleigh is the catcher for Seattle Mariners. He has 23 home runs and that's insane. It's nuts that he's doing this as a catcher... He won't win MVP, but he's got my vote. First catcher with 20 home runs before June.

Raleigh is statistically one of the best power-hitting catchers, though winning MVP is unlikely for a catcher on a non-dominant team.

Nikola Jokic is immovable and possesses the strength of an NFL offensive tackle

the dude is like, he's like offensive tackle strong. Like, he's like immovable, right? And then he doesn't like make these super aggressive moves to get into the post. He just like takes, takes a foot bumps you, takes another foot bumps you.

Expert opinion from an active NBA player.

Barry Bonds and Pete Rose should be in the Hall of Fame

I might be inclined to vote for Rose to get in, you know? And I think Barry Bonds should be in the Hall of Fame because everybody... most of the power hitters were, and he's by far the best hitter to ever play the sport. It's a museum at the end of the day.

Tyrese Haliburton needs to be more consistent to take the next step as a superstar

This is kind of the knock on [Haliburton] is that he has nights like Tuesday, which are out of this world good... and then you have nights like tonight where he doesn't really, like, can't really tell that he is out there. I think to take that next step, you can't have nights like tonight.

Haliburton's career trajectory is ongoing, but his tendency for high-variance games has been a noted part of his early career narrative.

LeBron James is a scumbag for opting into a $52 million contract instead of taking a team-friendly deal

[LeBron] opted in for $52 million. He's a billionaire. He might even be a piece of shit... he does not need, he's not even good enough for 52 million a year. He could have signed for 30... they could use the 20 million to actually make their team better. But he doesn't care about that because he's a selfish piece of shit.

LeBron James did opt into his contract with the Lakers for the 2024-25 season. The 'scumbag' label is purely subjective.

I think [Bowers] is the best tight end prospect to come out of the draft in the last 10 years, 10, 15 years. Like, and his rookie year matched it, if not exceeded it, which was pretty incredible.

While subjective, Bowers had a historically productive rookie season for a tight end, supporting Olsen's claim.

Carl Anthony Towns is at his best when he remembers he is seven feet tall and can drive to the rim

You know when Carl Anthony Towns is going to that next level where he realizes, oh yeah, I'm seven feet. I could just go to the rim and score on these guys. It feels like the threes happen, he can get into that groove of threes after he reminds himself like, oh yeah, I can drive on these guys. He got like a big and one and it almost like unlocked something in his brain. He's like, I'm Carl Anthony Towns. I'm big purr.

I don't understand how the MLB still can't figure it out. That like, Memorial Day happens to start summer every year and you haven't figured out a way to have wall to wall baseball games. It's crazy to me. And it should be like, there should be games starting very early and it'd go all day and it should be all nationally broadcast. Like why, why wouldn't you do that?

I agree with Jay Williams that 'cancel culture' is why American players haven't won an NBA MVP recently because coaches are afraid to coach them hard.

Jay Williams... blames cancel culture for Americans not winning MVPs. Because our coaches are too afraid to coach the players hard and getting canceled. How much of this do you think is cancel culture? I hear a lot of coaches talk about they don't feel like they can coach young kids anymore because anything they say could get used against them. I think I kind of agree with Jay Williams.

The causality of 'cancel culture' on MVP results is inherently subjective and impossible to prove.

Aaron Nesmith's ankle injury is a more significant X-factor for the Knicks-Pacers series than any tactical adjustment.

Another thing I'm gonna say is that a big factor is Aaron Nesmith's ankle. That potentially is a huge X factor. And another reason why, if you're a Knicks fan, you think that you can do it. That to me, more than any Xs and O thing or whatever lineup you wanna play or who's ever got a hot shot, that potentially is a huge X factor.

Jordon Hudson was Bill Belichick's 'rebound' from his 'divorce' with Tom Brady.
