I will be running a Dungeons and Dragons cruise to Alaska in October 2026

I am gonna be doing a D&D cruise this year... called D3 at Sea... in October, we're gonna be going to Alaska and it's a week. So if you were already going to Alaska and wanted to do the trip, I know I have family members who have gotten really stoked to do that stuff.

Timm states the cruise is 'locked in' for October 2026.

Dungeons and Dragons is the universal game of imagination that everyone has already played

I like to say D&D is the game that everyone has played. Even if you only did it when you were a kid and didn't know it was D&D, it is just the game of imagination that we all play. And it's the, it is the universal game in many ways.

The take is inherently a matter of interpretation of how childhood play relates to tabletop gaming mechanics.

The Kansas City Chiefs are incorporating Dungeons and Dragons into their operations

If anyone's been noticing the Chiefs recently ran D&D on my and like put it up on social media and stuff. All I will say right now is I'm talking to some teams.

The Chiefs social media did indeed feature D&D content with Timm Woods.

Clerics are actually very powerful in this edition of Dungeons and Dragons

Clerics are actually really powerful in this edition, so I don't mind playing them. It's pretty good. Also, when you're the healer kind of means everyone has to be nice to you.

A matter of game design opinion and meta-strategy.

You should always go reckless in Dungeons and Dragons

When people that I run games for among the Awls, I ask them if they're going reckless. They always say, of course, like Norm. Yeah, I gotta go reckless. You gotta go reckless because they look up to Norm. I think 100% it, you gotta always go reckless. 100%.

This is a subjective opinion on game mechanics and a description of player behavior.

Over 270 Awls have played the 'Dragon of Mount Spear Top' Dungeons and Dragons adventure

I have run this adventure in particular for 45 different groups of awls over the course of the last year. And that is a total of 274 Awls. That's awesome. We're out there. They're listening right now and they are judging your every move.

Timm Woods is the definitive source for his own business statistics regarding Awl games.

Pardon My Take fans who play Dungeons and Dragons as Barbarians almost always use the 'Reckless Attack' feature to imitate Big Cat's character, Norm

All the barbarian AWLs, when I run the game for them and I ask them whether they go reckless, they say 'just like Norm.' ... they all want to be like Norm.

Timm is reporting on his own professional experience with clients who are fans of the show.

Fifty percent of professional Dungeons and Dragons clients are Pardon My Take fans

I love running games for AWLs. I think at this point 50% of my clients are like AWLs. I mean it's so rad because what I do is now that I've run Forge of Fury, I've been running another adventure for them.

I cannot verify Timm Woods' private business records, so this remains pending or taken at face value.

Nothing is hotter than asking for consent even when you know you already have it

It was nothing's hotter than asking for consent when you know that you have it. I think a lot of problems. I agree.

This is a subjective opinion on dating/social dynamics.

TSA does not allow foam swords on planes

I looked up whether TSA would accept foam swords. They do not. And so [I] held onto my foam blade back at home. Didn't get to bring it, but I'm so honored to be in the presence of [the show] right now.

TSA guidelines often prohibit items that look like realistic weapons in carry-on bags, even if made of foam, though 'toy' foam swords are sometimes allowed. Timm's specific LARP gear likely failed the check.

Baldur's Gate 3 is currently bigger than Dungeons & Dragons itself

I'd say [Baldur's Gate 3] is bigger than D&D itself right now. It has won all the awards. It has become this huge video game and it's all based off of the D&D rules. It's the best job they've done taking the game we know and love and turning it into a video game experience.

Baldur's Gate 3 won Game of the Year at The Game Awards and was a massive cultural phenomenon, bringing D&D mechanics to a wider audience than traditional tabletop play.

If you see me on the street, I will almost certainly have a D20 on my person to roll for you.

If you come up to me on the street, I will roll a D 20 because I will probably have one on my person. Almost definitely.

Every group of fans that has played this adventure has successfully finished it.

Every one of the a w l groups who has gone through this adventure has gotten to the end and finished it. But I also told them I wasn't sure if you guys would or not.

As the Dungeon Master reporting on his own sessions, this is accepted as fact.

The award-winning listeners who play D&D are the 'elite of the elite' and will judge the hosts' performance

I've been running this adventure for [the fans]... there's at least a hundred of them out there who have played this adventure with me. No judgment, we're gonna continue to do whatever we want... But be aware the fans will be judging you. You guys, they finish this adventure many times.

Hank has never correctly guessed the lottery ball and never will

Can you ask him if Hank's ever gotten the lottery ball? Correct. [Mepo]: Never. Never... [Mepo] doesn't even know how he knew that it's just in his body and it came bursting out. Liar, liar style. Just like, no.

Hank famously went nearly two years without getting the lottery ball, finally succeeding in May 2023.

Lost Mines of Phandelver is the quintessential D&D adventure that almost everyone who has played the game has experienced

The adventure that I have planned for us today is a classic. It is known as Lost Mines of Phandelver. It is one of the most well-known D&D adventures. ... honestly, it's a well-known adventure. It's in the beginner box. So if anybody has played any adventure here, it would be that one.

Lost Mines of Phandelver was the adventure included in the 5th Edition Starter Set (2014), making it the most-played introductory module in history.
