The Bears are going to suck for the rest of my life and the Packers will be good

This is probably the lowest I've felt in a very, very long time. Yeah, that was terrible. Terrible, terrible, terrible. I, it's the same as it ever was. I am, I'm living in the worst version of Groundhogs Day possible. I had all the hope, all the expectations. I knew the defense was gonna suck. So I'm not that surprised that Jordan Love looked good. ... but yeah, that was really, really bad. And everything I was hoping for, I know it's a long season, but it feels like it's, the Bears are just gonna suck for the rest of my life. And the Packers are gonna be good for the rest of my life and there's nothing I can do about it.

The Packers finished the season 9-8 with a playoff win, while the Bears went 7-10. Jordan Love proved to be a franchise QB, extending the trend of Green Bay having superior QB play over Chicago.

The Commanders' defensive line is right up there with the Jets as the best in the league

The D is legit in DC. So, so legit. It's, we have an awesome defense. I'm not gonna apologize again for beating the Cardinals. Our defensive line is fucking awesome. We're probably amongst the best in the league. I would put us right up there with the New York Jets is having the best defensive line.

The Commanders finished the season with the 32nd ranked defense in points allowed and yards allowed, eventually trading away Chase Young and Montez Sweat. They were not close to the Jets in performance.

The Commanders will win 9 to 11 games if Sam Howell stays average

Sam Howell did enough. Sam Howell, he played just good enough to not lose. And I think if he can be average, if Sam can stay average, we should win like nine, 10, maybe 11 games this year.

The Commanders finished 4-13. Sam Howell struggled mightily as the season went on, leading the league in interceptions and sacks taken.

The Bengals will still be there at the end of the year despite their slow start

I fully expect the Bengals to be there at the end of the year. It's just ex like, I also expected this to be a slow start for them. And they played about as bad as you can play.

The Bengals finished 9-8 and missed the playoffs, largely due to Joe Burrow's season-ending wrist injury in November. Without the injury, they likely would have been in the hunt.

I love the DJ Moore trade for the Bears because it clears cap space for Max Crosby or Tyler Linderbaum

I love this trade because you clear up money. [DJ Moore's] got a big pretty hefty contract so you clear up money to maybe go get a Max Crosby or a Linderbaum. You get a pick and you make the bet that Luther Burden and Rome Odunze are gonna be taking leaps forward.

The trade is real in this transcript's timeline. The outcome of the cap space usage depends on free agency results.

DJ Moore would not have had a 1,000-yard season if he stayed in the Bears' offense

He could have a thousand yards [with the Bills] and be like, wow. How, how could you trade him? He wouldn't have had a thousand yards in this Bear's offense.

Moore finished the 2023 season with 1,364 yards for the Bears, so this retrospective hypothetical is likely incorrect as he had already proven he could do it.

Malik Willis is the #1 free agent backup quarterback

Top quarterback free agents... Is it also Malik Willis? Malik Willis is, yes. So he's number one. Malik Willis one.

Willis was traded to the Packers in 2024 and performed well as a backup, but ranking him #1 over established vets is a subjective value judgment.
