Davis Webb could potentially be a first-round pick

Davis Webb. Potentially going in the first round. Some teams really, really like him. Character-wise, he's great. It's interesting. When they study the tape, they say Cal's offense looked better for him than it did for Jared Goff last year.

Davis Webb was not selected in the first round; he was taken in the third round (87th overall) by the New York Giants.

Backing the NFL Draft up an extra month was the smartest thing Roger Goodell ever did

The smartest thing Roger Goodell ever did was backing the draft up another month. That way you get so many more mock drafts and you get so many more takes in. And yes, you're right. The anticipation. I've been walking around with an erection for the last two weeks.

The move to late April was highly successful commercially and for engagement, supporting PFT's sarcastic but valid point about increased take volume.

Russell Westbrook distrusts his teammates more than any player I've ever seen

I don't think I've ever seen—and don't tell him I said this because he'll get very upset at me—I don't think I've ever seen one player distrust his teammates more than Russell Westbrook. Unbelievable season, but he really was like, these guys fucking suck, and I need to make sure they never get the ball.

This is a subjective assessment of playstyle, though Westbrook's high usage and triple-double pursuit remain heavily debated topics from that season.

I am officially off the James Harden train because of his playing style and Kinesio tape

I just want to say I am officially off the James Harden train. I can't stand that guy. It's the kinesio tape. It's also how he wears his shorts. And it's the thing that he does where he's coming off a screen and he acts like he was shooting the ball at half court the whole time.

This is a subjective opinion about a player's likability.

Jeff Fisher has zero percent chance of getting another NFL head coaching job

[Jeff Fisher?] Nope. No chance. [Zero?] Zero.

Fisher never coached in the NFL again after his firing in 2016, though he later coached in the USFL.

The Bengals, not the Browns, are likely to blame for the botched AJ McCarron trade paperwork

I don't think [the Browns] screwed this up, interestingly enough... I think I am a little bit on Team Cleveland. So what I heard was that one of the sides, I think it was the Bengals, sent in the signatures, sent in the paper, the trade slip, before both signatures were on it, and neither side realized until it was too late.

The league rejected the trade because the Browns didn't notify them until after the deadline, though the exact internal clerical failure remains a point of dispute between the two teams.

Bill Belichick spearheaded the Jimmy Garoppolo trade and wasn't forced into it by Robert Kraft

What I was told was that this is definitely Belichick running the show here... this was a trade that Belichick took on himself... I think it is really Belichick kind of spearheading it.

This remains one of the most debated topics in Patriots history. Subsequent reporting by Seth Wickersham and others suggested Kraft did have a role in the decision to keep Brady and move Jimmy, though Belichick executed the deal.
