Ben Simmons is the 'Floss God' for stealing $203 million without playing

I'm very close though to flipping and being like Ben Simmons the king of stealing money from teams. He's the Floss God. He's getting, I looked it up, $203 million. He just doesn't play. Good for him. I think I've flipped on him. He's first team money earner in America.

Simmons' career earnings are verifiable, and the 'Floss God' title is a subjective moniker for his ability to stay paid while sidelined.

UConn will cement themselves as the best program of the last 25 years if they win this title

Going up against the team that will further cement themselves as the best team in the last 25 years. So in terms of multiple winners in the last 25 years, UConn has four. Duke and UNC both have three apiece. This would be UConn's fifth if they could finish the deal.

UConn did win the 2023 title, giving them 5 since 1999, more than any other program in that span.

Nate Oats is officially on the hot seat

I'm officially putting Nate Oats on my hot seat. It's got to turn into go at least one year without a murder to get off this hot seat.

Nate Oats was not actually fired, nor did he ever enter a true 'hot seat' for performance reasons, making this a failed humorous prediction.

Players who play in Europe for 15 years often have a better life than fringe NBA players

I would actually say that a lot of players that end up doing the thing where they go to Europe and they play for 12, 15 years and they bounce around Europe all the time, they might have a better life than a guy that makes it to the NBA. Gets paid a shitload of money and maybe doesn't get, you know, doesn't sniff a championship. Maybe you're coming off the bench... going over and playing overseas in Europe or in New Zealand or Australia. That's probably a pretty good life.

This is entirely subjective lifestyle preference.

The Ravens are using a physical loophole to back out of the Maxx Crosby trade

I'm calling bullshit on all this. It does feel like something's fishy here. And maybe it's just the Ravens using the loophole of, hey, we can see, we can trade for Maxx Crosby, see how the rest of free agency plays out, knowing that this stupid legal tampering and then official free agency, there's a two day gap and then just figure it out later.

The trade was literally rescinded, but the 'nefarious loophole' theory is a subjective interpretation of front office tactics.

The Panthers were right to overpay for Jaelan Phillips

The Panthers getting Jaelan Phillips, even though it was a lot of money, I feel like you gotta do it. Cap went up and I feel like you have to do those type of moves, especially when you are a playoff team from last year. Your defense was a problem... I'd be like, oh, Howie's interested? I'll give him more money.

The success of the Panthers' defense with Phillips will determine if the overpay was justified.

A podcast interview is the greatest aphrodisiac

Everyone says that a podcast interview is the greatest aphrodisiac. I think he [Ohio State President] went on her podcast and then the flames were just too hot.

Satirical claim about the power of podcasting.
