LeBron James is the hardest working player I have ever been around

LeBron is the hardest working guy that I've ever been around. And I've played with Dirk, Tim Duncan, Steph Curry, Jason Kidd... the amount of time that he takes on his body... i'm just saying when I look at how hard the guy works, then I think a lot of that has to do with why he has avoided injuries.

LeBron's longevity and investment in his body (reportedly $1.5M+ a year) is well-documented and widely accepted as the reason for his extended prime.

Kevin Durant is an internet troll and a disturbed individual

[Kevin Durant] is an internet troll, but I think more important than that, he is a disturbed individual. And this most recent spur of activity that he's been doing from getting caught responding to himself to his apologies that he's been issuing... I've swung 360 degrees.

The sentiment that KD's burner account saga was 'disturbed' or at least highly unusual became a consensus view in sports media.

Kevin Durant is the best writer of anyone who tweets about the NBA

KD is actually probably the best writer of anybody that tweets about the NBA.

Subjective opinion on prose quality in tweets.

You cannot be a bad football coach and have slicked-back hair like Ben McAdoo

My other hot seat was Ben McAdoo's hair. You can't be bad and have hair like that... That slick back hair and the quarter length sleeve jumper was just such a bad... You can't look like an asshole when you get beat on Monday Night Football.

The Giants went 3-13 and McAdoo was fired mid-season, making his 'look' especially vulnerable to criticism.

Grant Williams is the key X-factor for the Celtics if the Warriors go small

I would say the two people... I mentioned Grant Williams, I think Grant Williams... he's going to be key because the Warriors just force everyone to play small... If he plays well, like he did in the Milwaukee series where he hit eight threes, 93, whatever it was, then, you know, Boston's going to be a problem.

Grant Williams struggled for much of the Finals, averaging only 5.2 points per game and losing minutes as the series progressed.

Brad Stevens moved to the front office because he knew the Celtics needed a different voice to reach the next level

I want somebody that I believe can take these guys to the next level. ... It doesn't mean that Brad couldn't win a championship as an NBA head coach. ... It just means that this, he just wanted to be in a, in a different space. So he, but he's still there in a day to day.

This is a subjective interpretation of front-office dynamics, though the results (Celtics reaching the Finals) support the move's efficacy.

Milwaukee would have won the East and reached the Finals if Khris Middleton was healthy

I think that Milwaukee was the best team this year. If they would have had Middleton, they'd be in final right now.

While logically sound given the 7-game series, it's ultimately an unprovable hypothetical.
