The NFL should adopt the college pass interference rule

I would make [pass interference] the college rule, honestly, because some of these, some of these past interference calls are impacting a game. Just one play there... I don't think there's a common thread in what is and what isn't past interference.

This is a subjective opinion on rule changes and cannot be proven right or wrong.

Criticism of Justin Herbert never made sense

[Justin Herbert] touchdown pass that he threw as he was falling down. Oh that's the guy. When people are like, oh, Justin Herbert's only, you know, social media, quarterback, whatever. I don't even know what the criticism of Justin Herbert is anymore because it never made sense to me.

The assessment of criticism being nonsensical is subjective, but Herbert's elite talent is widely recognized.

The Buffalo Bills do not want to see the Cincinnati Bengals in the playoffs

The Buffalo Bills, if they get the two seed, the last team they wanna see is the Cincinnati Bengals. Yeah. That's the only that like, you, you don't, 'cause that's the Bengals. The the crazy thing about the Bengals is they can't stop anyone. But if you get in a shootout with the Bengals, like anything can happen.

The Bengals eventually failed to make the playoffs in the 2024 season.

Indiana and Clemson are the two best upset bets in the first round of the CFP

Indiana and Clemson are the two horses I'm riding. I think the weather, I think the big, I think the weather, it's big 10 weather. It's tough to go against Penn State and Ohio State. I think Indiana's got a shot. And I think Clemson has a real shot because Indiana's Big 10. Notre Dame's not big.

Indiana lost to Notre Dame and Clemson lost to Texas in the first round of the CFP.

Baker Mayfield would be the NFL MVP if the season ended today

We were on that Fox show and they asked me who I thought the MVP would be and I said, if we did it today, it'd be Baker. And I just compare him to Brett Favre when we were in Green Bay. He brought life to the huddle.

Subjective mid-season evaluation.

The Eagles lack the chemistry and caring for one another that they had during their Super Bowl run

The Eagles aren't the same team. The chemistry of the team is not the same... They're not as good because the players that won the Super Bowl aren't there. And offensively... It just doesn't look like they care a lot about each other right now.

The Eagles struggled down the stretch in 2024 and 2025, validating many of the 'bad vibes' reports that Gruden is echoing here.

The Falcons are for real because their defense and young offensive weapons have reached elite status

I like 'em man. I like 'em... What they did coming back, beating Washington, going on a buy and coming back and taking it to Buffalo on national television... I think they have a lot firepower, man. Drake London is starting to play like Andre Johnson. Kyle Pitts is showing why he was the top 10 pick.

The Falcons won the NFC South in the 2025 season, making Gruden's belief in them largely correct.
