NBA teams shouldn't call themselves 'World Champions' if they only play in the US

My Hot Seat is the NBA. Noah Lyles... he was doing an interview where he basically asked, why do they call the NBA the world champion, world champion of what they only play in America? And there was a, you know, it was kind of an embrace debate, huh? Is NBA the world champion or are they just the US champion?

This is a subjective semantic debate about the definition of 'World Champion' in domestic leagues.

Justin Thomas is a killer in international play and belongs on the Ryder Cup team

Justin Thomas is a killer in international play. That's a fact. ... Justin Thomas 16 and 5 [in international play]. ... How do you say no to that? Hank? That's a resume pick. ... He's a fucking killer when he plays an international play.

Thomas made the team but struggled at Marco Simone, going 1-2-1 as the US lost the Ryder Cup.

Selecting Justin Thomas for the Ryder Cup is a risky pick given his current form

He's not playing good golf right now. ... I just feel bad for, you know, Keegan and the guys. ... It's a risky pick in my opinion. ... Imagine if he performs badly. The final day is 12 singles matches. If he performs badly, everyone would be like, why would you pick a person who didn't even make the FedEx Cup playoffs?

Thomas's poor form continued into the Ryder Cup, where he had a losing record and the US lost.

The 'World Champion' debate is dumb because all the world's best players are in the NBA

This is the dumbest debate ever, especially when you consider all the best players in the world playing the NBA. ... This is one of those cases where a guy's trying to say something deep and then he says it... and when it comes out of his mouth, he's like, yeah, take that guys.

Subjective debate regarding the prestige and terminology of professional sports championships.

Fanatics and Nike failed American fans by not producing enough USA hockey jerseys after the gold medal win

My Hot Seat: Fanatics and Nike... They thought that Canada was gonna win the gold, so they just did not make enough USA jerseys. And so by the time USA won the gold, they were already sold out. It's disgusting. Drop the ball.

The inventory levels are fact-verifiable; if they were sold out immediately, the claim is correct.

Heat 2 will be a 'disgusting' (great) film starring Christian Bale and Leonardo DiCaprio

My Cool Throne: Heat 2. Christian Bale. Leonardo DiCaprio. Disgusting film. Hell yes. I trust Jake Hamilton. He reported it. Christian Bale, Leo DiCaprio, Heat 2. I'm in. Awesome.

Casting rumors for Heat 2 are ongoing; if the film releases with these stars, it would be correct.
