Bill Belichick will be successful at UNC because he can simplify the path to the NFL for recruits

I think he's gonna be successful at UNC. I really do... there is a compelling case for Bill Belichick shows up to your living room and says, Hey, I can get you in the NFL... I'm just gonna get you in the NFL.

Bill Belichick was not successful in his first year at UNC. The Tar Heels went 4-8, their worst record since 2018, and failed to qualify for a bowl game. His college coaching debut was a 14-48 loss to TCU.

Paying Brock Purdy $60 million per year would be insane

The projections that I'm reading right now... a report 60 a year. That's insane. You can't pay Brock Purdy 60 a year... he's a good quarterback, he's not in the level of make everyone better quarterback.

Brock Purdy signed a 5-year, $265 million extension ($53M/year average) with the 49ers in May 2025. While Big Cat said $60M/year was insane, Purdy got $53M/year which is in the same ballpark. The 49ers did pay him a massive deal, suggesting the market valued Purdy highly despite Big Cat's skepticism.

Brock Purdy looked stupid and shitty against the Rams

I think he had a very bad game tonight. Like he looks, he looked stupid and shitty tonight. That's my analysis. That last throw was so bad. It was stupid and shitty in one throw. It was dumb to throw it and it was a bad pass.

Purdy did throw a crucial interception and the 49ers offense struggled significantly in that game.

The San Francisco 49ers are officially dead for the 2024 season

The Niners are dead. It's over reset everything. It's over... less than 1% chance [to make the playoffs].

The 49ers finished the season with a losing record and missed the playoffs.

The Brewers' pressure created their 'lucky' breaks

That's not luck. That's just the Brewers and what they did to you mentally, where it's like you have to be perfect and almost made teams just become a worse version of themselves because of what the Brewers were doing to them.

This is an evaluative baseball argument rather than a claim with one definitive result.

The Bears are building around Jeffrey Simmons correctly

Jeffrey Simmons is an absolute game wrecker. Top three at his position, changes everyone around him. The Bears had a weakness in their defense, especially run defense. They made it a strength.

The assessment of Simmons' impact and positional ranking is partly subjective and will depend on his Chicago performance.

Jeffrey Simmons makes the Bears Super Bowl contenders

I thought they could win the Super Bowl before Jeffrey Simmons. Now I really do.

The 2026 NFL season and Super Bowl outcome have not yet been resolved from the episode date.
