Chase Daniel has a higher floor but lower ceiling than Mitchell Trubisky

I think that chase [Daniel] has a lower ceiling but a higher floor... then Mitchell [Trubisky] does. He's not going to make mistakes. He's not going to lose you the game. But... if the Bears ever get into a game where they have to score and have to throw the ball downfield he's not going to be that guy.

This accurately describes Chase Daniel's entire NFL career. He was a high-floor game manager who rarely threw interceptions but lacked the arm talent to lead high-scoring offenses.

Mason Rudolph is not a starting quarterback in the NFL

I've said it and the end this will confirm it tomorrow night. I don't care how good [Mason Rudolph] is tomorrow night if he does really, really well. He's not a starting quarterback in the NFL. I've seen enough of his face.

Mason Rudolph spent the next several years as a backup or third-stringer, only seeing starting time due to injuries or benchings. He has not established himself as a franchise starter.

The Falcons are officially dead for the 2019 season

Falcons are dead. They are officially dead... I don't even think they have like fighting them. Dan Quinn needs to be fired.

The Falcons finished the 2019 season 7-9 and missed the playoffs. Dan Quinn was eventually fired midway through the 2020 season.

Matthew Stafford outdueled Patrick Mahomes in Week 4

Matt Stafford, I'm going to say this, Matt Stafford outdueled Patrick Mahomes. ... [Mahomes] did not look sharp. He was missing guys. He was throwing guys—he looked okay, but he wasn't Patrick Mahomes.

Subjective comparison of performance in a single game.

The goal allowed by the US goalie was the most embarrassing possible

What about the goalie? Yeah, I mean he... that was the most embarrassing goal that I've ever seen. Possible.

While subjective, the blunder by the US goalkeeper (Freeze/Turner) was widely mocked as a 'MAC football' level mistake.

The USMNT is the 'James Franklin Penn State' of soccer

People were making very mean jokes online that we were James Franklin, Penn State. And it is actually perfectly appropriate because if you look at who we played, we beat the teams we're supposed to beat... and then we absolutely got ass fucked by the team that was better than us in Belgium. We are not who we thought we were.

Subjective comparison.

We just suck at soccer as a country and that's okay

My take is we suck at soccer and that's okay. Like, I don't care that we suck at soccer anymore. I'm going to root for the US team. I'm gonna get excited when we're in a World Cup. I'm gonna get hyped up and it's gonna be fun to watch. And then I'm gonna be reminded that we suck at soccer and that it's just gonna be like, okay, yeah, that's okay.

Subjective perspective on American soccer.
