College basketball media members are the most out-of-touch group in sports because they blindly defend coaches and don't understand how fans think.

I think college basketball might be the premier sport in terms of guys who cover the sport that don't understand how fans think and also just will defend coaches blindly no matter what.

This is a subjective critique of a media group's perspective.

Under the NFL's new overtime rules, you should choose to kick if you win the coin toss.

Now we're gonna have to recalibrate because you win the coin toss. You don't want the ball first. Correct? 'cause then you want to know if you need to go for two on a touchdown.

Strategically, many analytics experts agree that knowing what you need (FG or TD) and having the ability to go for two to win makes the second possession superior.

The NFL will eventually ban the Tush Push.

It's gaining momentum though. That's the problem is now they're up to 16 teams that voted to ban it... I I feel like at some point it's gonna be banned.

The NFL has not banned the tush push. A May 2025 vote fell short (22 of 24 needed). No 2026 proposal submitted. Still legal.

The NFL's use of the 'player safety' label is almost always a facade for other league interests.

I'm tired of them pretending it's player safety and then being like, let's add another game or add more overtime. It's not player safety. It's never, whenever they say player safety, it's never player safety.

This is a subjective assessment of the league's motivations.

Ohio State moved senior night because it is scared of Michigan

If you're saying, 'Hey, we can't do it for the Michigan game because it's something that's just totally different and separate unto itself,' do it the last home game before that, which would be Northwestern. But that senior night though should be—you'd basically just be saying, 'I'm scared of doing it against Michigan.'

This is an interpretation of Ohio State's motivation and cannot be definitively verified.

Michigan is closer to 7-5 than a playoff team

If Bryce Underwood doesn't take a massive step forward, this is closer to a seven-five team than a playoff team.

Michigan's 2026 season outcome has not been established at the time of this episode.

Wisconsin has to win eight games

He's gotta win eight. I think he would tell you he's gotta win eight. Because if you win seven, that means you probably lost to Penn State, Iowa, USC and UCLA or Minnesota, and it's like some of those are not okay.

Wisconsin's 2026 final record has not yet been determined.
