College football is in a great spot because NIL and the transfer portal have increased parity

I truly believe with the NIL and transfer portal, I think you're going to get these teams, the Vandys of the world, being able to take a little slight step up and be competitive in these type of games that you didn't have before... It feels like there is a maybe 10 teams right now that... could win the playoff.

The 12-team playoff and late-season upsets (like Indiana's run and various SEC upsets) supported the idea of broader competitiveness.

Aaron Rodgers is a serial coach killer

[Aaron Rodgers] is a serial coach killer. Mike McCarthy and [Robert Saleh]. If you kill two people, you're a serial killer.

Rodgers has seen McCarthy (Green Bay) and Saleh (Jets) fired during his tenure, lending some weight to the 'coach killer' label.

The Jets interim coach Jeff Ulbrich will succeed because he is a wrestler

Jeff Ulbrich, he's got to work out because when it comes to interim head coaches, you either need a fat guy, or you need like an ex-player hardass... He looks like the ex-player hardass linebacker... Being a wrestler, I feel like is a big, big plus in the interim head coach power rankings.

Ulbrich went 3-8 as interim head coach, failing to significantly turn the Jets season around.

The Chiefs will win the Super Bowl again

What the Chiefs are doing is very dynasty Patriots-esque... They're just really, really good and they're going to win the Super Bowl again and we just all have to come to grips with that.

The Chiefs did NOT win the Super Bowl in the 2024 season. They lost Super Bowl LIX to the Eagles 22-40.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
