I don't know what the Cowboys, it feels like everyone's about to get fired because why else would you talk like this? Jerry Jones... said he wants Mike McCarthy to coach the Cowboys as long as Tom Landry... Steven Jones today said he wants Dak to be their quarterback for the next 10 years.

Mike McCarthy's contract expired after a 7-10 2024 season and he and the Cowboys parted ways. Dak Prescott was injured and missed most of the season. The organization did undergo major changes, though it wasn't exactly 'everyone getting fired' — McCarthy's contract simply wasn't renewed, and they hired Brian Schottenheimer.

It's back-to-back retirements, two consecutive retirements for Tom Brady. He's the GOAT at that too. Not a dynasty, but a nice little run.

Brady did eventually stay retired after this, making it exactly two consecutive retirements before his transition to broadcasting.

The highest active player is Patrick Mahomes with 3. Matching 7 is nearly impossible in the modern era.
