I am officially back in on Carson Wentz

I'm back in on Carson Wentz. How can you not be after this performance? I do have a question, though... Why are the Colts not sitting Carson Wentz in the second half of blowouts?

The 'Wentz experience' eventually soured in Indy and he was traded after the season following a late-season collapse.

Mike White secured a 10-year NFL career by having one great game and then getting immediately injured

When you're a backup quarterback in the NFL, the best thing you can do is have an awesome game and then immediately get injured and secure your like status as an NFL quarterback for 10 years. Mike White—I'll remember Mike White.

Mike White has remained in the NFL as a viable backup/spot starter since this 2021 game, playing for the Jets and Dolphins.

A team can have a winning culture while still losing games

Can you have a winning football culture without actually winning football games? Yes. I think you can. It's tough to pull off... There's that year where you can change the culture by losing close games. The Lions kind of had a little bit of that at the start of the year.

This proved incredibly prescient, as Dan Campbell's Lions built a culture through losses that eventually led to a division title and NFC Championship run.

Aaron Rodgers should be in jail for life for lying about being immunized

Aaron Rodgers should be in jail. All those that agree say aye... I just have a very cut and dry take that Aaron Rodgers should be in jail for life. Regardless of what he's done... jail until the COVID pandemic is completely over.

He was obviously not jailed for life; it was a satirical exaggeration of the public outrage.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
