I am predicting a Twins over Astros series win in the ALDS

Maybe I'll just be a Twins guy until Twins to, to win this series and then beat the Astros. That's what we should be a Twins over Astro podcast.

The Twins lost to the Astros 3-1 in the 2023 ALDS.

Making the playoffs and losing every game is the worst fate for a sports fan

I actually think that making the playoffs and losing every single game is the worst fate of any fan base. Like I would rather be the worst team and just be like, I can just erase it from my memory. Draft Picks, whatever you wanna sell yourself on getting, being good enough to get to the playoffs and then not winning a game For more than almost two decades. That is the worst.

Playoff baseball at Citizens Bank Park is one of the hardest environments in all of professional sports

Playoff Baseball at the bank is one of the hardest environments in professional sports. It's different. It's different than any other stadium. I mean, you just see it, the feels different. It sounds different.

Booing doesn't work for baseball players because it's a game of confidence, but it works for football players

Baseball's a different sport. It's about confidence. Booing doesn't do anything for a Baseball player, for a football player. Getting booed gets a little driving, you get a little angry. You, you maybe get a little push on the guy next to you and Baseball. It's a mental game, it's a game of confidence.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
