I want the Timberwolves vs. Grizzlies series to go to seven games because it is so competitive

I agree with you. I want this to go seven. I feel bad for the Timberwolves... this series is so competitive. Every game's a war.

The series ended in 6 games, so his wish for 7 did not come true.

The Timberwolves vs. Grizzlies series is the most fun series to watch because they are the two youngest teams in the NBA

There's a reason why this series is so fun to watch. Obviously you've got great players... [they are] the two youngest teams in the playoffs, two of the five youngest teams in the NBA, which means that you're going to see some guys that have the ability to do like incredible, amazing athletic stuff, but also make really, really stupid, awful mistakes.

The Timberwolves and Grizzlies were indeed among the youngest teams in the league/playoffs that year.

The 2021-22 Atlanta Hawks season ended in a gross way and their ECF run last year might have been a bad thing for the team's development

I think we go back, we revisit like, is it going to end up being a bad thing that they went to the Eastern conference final last year because they went into the playoffs and this whole season being like, we've, we've done something. We can do this. And their season ends in kind of a very gross way... That was a gross, gross ending for the Hawks.

Subjective opinion on team psychology and development path.

The Miami Heat are the most frightening team in the Eastern Conference

The Heat are such a good team right now. I would be, that's the team that would scare me as a true blue Celtics believer. That is the team that scares me out of the East.

The Heat did reach the Eastern Conference Finals and pushed the Celtics to seven games, though they ultimately lost.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
