I would be just as good at golf with only three clubs

I don't think that I would be significantly worse at golf if I only had a driver, a seven iron and a putter. I don't think I would shave any strokes off my game by incorporating irons three through six.

The Detroit Pistons are back

The Detroit Pistons are back... the main takeaway, I know this sounds crazy to say, but Jaden Ivey falling to five... Jaden Ivey and Cade Cunningham. They're building. You fuck with that. Because let's build. It's that's why Jaden Ivey going to the Detroit, the Pistons are back.

The Pistons have remained one of the worst teams in the NBA since this draft, failing to reach the playoffs or even have a winning season in the years following.

The Orlando Magic are five years away from being any good

Paolo Banchero, he went first overall. Credit to coach K for going out on a high note right there. I can never really tell with some of these players, like you go to a team like Orlando, that's just dog shit. To me, they're like probably five years away from being any good.

The Magic actually made the playoffs just two years later (2023-24 season), showing they were much closer than five years away.

All Duke players from the 2022 draft will be busts

All the Duke guys are going to be a bust. They can't win when it matters most because they lose when all the pressures on them... they did lose in the Final Four. They did send out their Hall of Fame coach out with a loss.

Paolo Banchero won Rookie of the Year and became an All-Star, Mark Williams has shown promise, and while others are role players, calling the entire class 'busts' is already proven wrong by Banchero's success.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
