Kevin Durant is currently underrated because people focus on his social media activity over his play

How good is Kevin Durant? Like, does he, I feel like he's almost, he's he's become underrated now after maybe being a little overrated... I do think that he, people kind of go at him for going to the Warriors... they like cheapen it where they're like instead of talking about Jason Tatum, the basketball player, they'll talk about his aura and like try to diminish him 'cause of aura.

Assessing a player's 'rated-ness' is inherently subjective.

The Oilers will start Stuart Skinner in Game 5 despite his benching

He's gonna start game five. I think they'll go back to him. I mean, he got 'em there. Obviously the last two, whatever four periods have not looked good, losing six-one and then tonight in the first period. But I think they'll go back to him.

In the 2024 Stanley Cup Finals (which the transcript events describe), Skinner did start Game 5 and helped the Oilers win.

The Oilers will win the Stanley Cup Finals in six games

Oilers in six. I don't wanna go to Edmonton for seven, maybe, maybe, but Oilers in six there.

The Oilers lost the 2024 Finals in seven games to the Panthers.

Hockey has tricked fans into loving overtime by simply taking away the fourth quarter

I have a question for you... has hockey tricked us into saying free hockey just by taking away the fourth quarter. And then whenever it gets to the fourth quarter, we're so grateful to have a fourth quarter.

This is a subjective observation about fan psychology.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
