NBA players are self-deputizing as Karens in the bubble

It's not the journalists that are doing it. It's actually the players. The players have self-deputized as Karens. I actually want every NBA player should get a Yelp account and I want to read their Yelp reviews of the hotel afterwards.

The 'bubble' complaints became a major theme of the restart, with many players eventually social-media reviewing their food and rooms.

I actually enjoy staying at a Motel 6

I'm not here for the Motel 6 slander, by the way. I enjoy a good Motel 6. You're not getting any frills. I'm more of a Red Roof Inn guy, but I just like hotels. You just go in, you run the hot shower, get that hot water going for 30 minutes at a time.

Subjective preference for budget hotels.

Tim Tebow is a guaranteed ratings draw regardless of what sport or team he is playing for

It doesn't matter if [Tebow] is on the Mets or if he's playing for the Nets, people will tune in and watch Tim Tebow.

Tebow remained a significant media fixation and ratings driver throughout his baseball career and brief return to football, proving his name alone moved the needle.

The Ivy League canceling sports will force every other conference to follow suit

I don't know how any of this is going to work. And I guess that segues to college football feels like we're in a bad spot and fuck the Ivy League again. They started it. As soon as they canceled I was like this is gonna get everyone because the smartest guys in the room are like, 'hey, we don't think it's safe' and everyone else feels pressure.

The Ivy League's cancellation on July 8, 2020, was indeed followed by many FCS and eventually several FBS conferences (though some later reversed).

Spain is entering a period of absolute soccer dominance and will win the next Euro.

They won the Euro two years ago. They won the World Cup. They're probably gonna win the Euro in two years. They're just different generation dominating soccer.

Euro 2028 has not happened yet.

Goals scored in the World Cup third-place game should not count toward the Golden Boot.

I also had one bone to pick. The third place game, which is hilarious that they still do this... The fact that those goals count for the Golden Boot is such bullshit. That's stupid. That should not count. Like that's not a real game.

This is a subjective opinion about tournament rules.

LeBron James will announce his free agency decision tonight.

I'm fully expecting him to announce at 9:00 PM tonight. Yep. Like shit like that where it's like, I went to a movie on Thursday night. I was like, oh, LeBron's gonna fucking announce during the movie. He's, he's now fucking us... I think that's what's gonna happen. I think he's gonna decide tonight.

Big Cat predicted that LeBron James would announce his free agency decision at 9:00 PM on July 20, 2026. However, reports from July 20 and July 21, 2026, indicated that James had not yet made his decision, and his agent stated on July 21 that he did not know when the announcement would occur.
