Nick Nurse will have a long coaching career because he makes memorable 'goofy faces' on the sideline

The winner of the playoffs, I'm saying it right now... the finals MVP, Nick Nurse's goofy faces. That guy makes faces... if you do faces, you'll stick around longer. You have to have something that people are like, oh, Nick Nurse, the face guy? ... You have to have a look.

Nick Nurse did win the title that year and remained a prominent head coach in the league for years (Raptors, then 76ers), though his 'faces' are a subjective factor in his longevity.

Seth Curry is a better pure shooter than Steph Curry

The narrative I'm going to get going is Seth Curry is the better pure shooter than Steph Curry... The better pure guy. Steph has to create his own shot. Seth is much better off the pick... Seth is better away from the ball.

While Seth has a higher career 3P%, Steph is widely considered the greatest shooter ever due to volume and difficulty; this is a deliberately provocative and largely incorrect take.

The Warriors are Draymond Green's team

The Warriors are a lot of fun to watch right now and I'm gonna say it it's Draymond's team... He had 16, 10, and 7 was everywhere. He is the heartbeat of the Warriors. He unlocks Steph Curry to score 37 points.

The Warriors' identity is inextricably linked to Steph Curry, but Draymond is widely considered the defensive/emotional leader.

This series is O-V-E-R. Over. Sorry, Blazers.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
