Ohio State should be ranked #1 in the first CFP rankings based on resume

If I had to take a guess, I would think that Ohio State will be one and there'll be Georgia and Michigan in a two three... Ohio state only because they do probably have the best resume on paper with a Penn State win and a Notre Dame Road win.

Ohio State was indeed ranked #1 in the first 2023 CFP rankings released on October 31, 2023.

The Bears would never trade a second-round pick for Montez Sweat without a long-term deal in place

I assume every trade like this, you assume that there is a deal in place to resign Montez Sweat. So everyone's like, why would you trade a second round pick for a guy who's gonna be a free agent? Obviously if he becomes a free agent, this is the dumbest deal ever. I am assuming that Ryan Polls has already worked it out with his agent and there's a plan in place to sign him long-term.

Montez Sweat signed a four-year, $98 million extension with the Bears on November 4, 2023, just days after the trade.

I am officially all in on the San Francisco 49ers

I would like to officially announce I'm all in on the Niners now. I Trent Williams, chase Young Kyle Shanahan. I said this on, on Monday's show. But if you're a fan of a shitty franchise, the best you can do sometimes is to just root for your guys to win somewhere. So I'm, I'm gonna put a big future on the Niners. They're my team.

The Niners made the Super Bowl but lost, so while they were a good bet, they didn't win the title PFT implies with 'big future'.

Josh McDaniels is a misunderstood genius whose offense only works with Hall of Fame players

I think maybe we're all wrong about Josh McDaniels. Maybe he is an offensive genius, but maybe there's just no players that are good enough to play football at the level that Josh McDaniels expects... his offense only works if it's Tom Brady and Randy Moss running it. And if it's anybody else, then it just looks like the biggest nightmare you've ever seen.

McDaniels was fired on October 31, 2023 (released early Nov 1), proving his 'genius' was a failure.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
