Penn State will eventually hire Curt Cignetti away from Indiana

I'll throw out a name with Pennsylvania Roots... Curt Cignetti to Penn State. I think he's from Pittsburgh.

Cignetti signed a massive extension with Indiana shortly after this to remain the Hoosiers' head coach.

The Chiefs follow a predictable pattern of looking beatable before executing perfectly on third down to win

The Chiefs are going to play every game the exact same way where you think the Chiefs might lose and then they're gonna be perfect on third down and they're gonna get a big defensive stop and Patrick Mahomes is gonna make a big play.

The Chiefs continued this trend throughout the season, finishing with several one-score wins despite often trailing or looking stagnant.

Todd Bowles is a coward for not going for two against the Chiefs

Todd Bowles is the biggest fucking coward in the world... You somehow got yourself in position where you can win the game, score a touchdown, and then you have the opportunity to go for two on the road Monday football against an undefeated team. Or you can kick an extra point like a coward, go to overtime and think that you can win an overtime against literally Patrick Mahomes.

The Buccaneers lost in overtime without their offense touching the ball, essentially proving the 'cowardice' led to a loss.

The Chiefs aren't the best team in the NFL right now, but they will be by season's end

The Chiefs, they're not the best team in the NFL, but they will be the best team in the NFL. They're the team. No one would want to play in a playoff game because I would think they would win every single playoff.

The Chiefs ultimately entered the playoffs as a top contender and historically perform better in the postseason.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
