Saquon Barkley is going to reach 2,000 rushing yards this season

Saquon Barkley, he's now 94 yards a game. So four games left, 94 yards, a game away from 2,000. He also has the Eagles record in rushing yards in a season passing LeSean McCoy.

Barkley finished the 2024 regular season with 1,811 rushing yards, failing to hit the 2,000-yard mark.

I'm ready to start putting more respect on the Steelers and Vikings' names

The Steelers and Vikings. I'm ready to start putting a lot more respect on their name... Vikings 42 Falcons 21. This was the Sam Darnold Show... Why aren't we talking about the Vikings like the Eagles and the Lions?

Both teams finished with strong records (Vikings 12-5, Steelers 10-7) and made the playoffs, though neither reached the Super Bowl.

The Vikings should consider resigning Sam Darnold this offseason

Are we at the point where the Vikings should consider resigning Sam Darnold? Yes... You probably should. 'Cause JJ [McCarthy]'s probably good, but you don't know. But we know that Sam's good. Sam Darnold's also only 27 years old.

The Vikings should have 'considered' re-signing Darnold, and they likely did consider it. However, they ultimately let him walk in free agency (he signed with Seattle), choosing to go with JJ McCarthy. The suggestion was reasonable but the Vikings went a different direction.

It might be Michael Penix time for the Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons are, it just feels like it's all falling apart at the end here. And Michael Penix, it might be Penix time, it might be Penix time. So you drafted him. Why wouldn't you get him a little like... if your season's over, you might as well get Michael Penix in.

The Falcons stuck with Cousins for the remainder of the regular season, although Penix did see limited garbage-time action.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
