The Final Four is the premier father-son event on the sports calendar

Final Four feels like the most father-son event that happens in the sports calendar... you do see a lot of that. You see a lot of families walking around, which is kind of nice.

This is a social observation that cannot be objectively proven.

Most sports fans no longer care about college athletes getting paid or schools facing NCAA violations

It is the perfect champion for this day and age where the rules have changed. I'd say most people don't give a fuck about college players getting paid whatsoever. And the NCAA has just been dragging their feet... they're giving a trophy to a school that is also facing violations.

Public apathy toward NCAA violations is an observable trend but ultimately a matter of opinion.

Kansas winning the 2022 national title is justice for their 2020 team having the tournament cancelled

It's justice though for Kansas for 2020, because going into that tournament... we I think we had Kansas number one overall seed. I think we picked them to win the championship in 2020 and the fake bracket. It's good to see Kansas get this bag.

This is a subjective interpretation of 'justice' in sports history.

Bill Self has the second-best active coaching resume behind Rick Pitino

Does Bill Self now, out of all the active coaches, have the second-best resume only to Rick Pitino? This second one for Bill Self puts him in rarefied air and it cements everything that he's done at Kansas. He has more wins than Jay Wright. He has gone to the tournament 23 straight years, and 12 out of those 23 he's gotten to at least the Elite Eight.

While subjective, Self's resume is widely considered top-tier. Pitino and Self are both Hall of Famers with multiple titles at multiple programs (though Pitino's titles are at two different schools).

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
