We should treat the Lakers catfish account like a 'distressed asset' and hire her as a correspondent

In the finance world, it's a distressed asset. We're buying distressed assets in the hope that we can turn them around... It's one in a million shot that she's actually who she says she is. But if she is, she'll remember that we were the ones who had her back... she's our official Lakers correspondent.

The account in question ('Vivian') turned out to be a complete fabrication/catfish and was never hired by Barstool.

The Premier League should rebrand as the English Super League to prevent future breakaways

If the Premier League is smart, they'll just rebrand as the English Super League. And then nobody can ever cuck them out of that again.

The Premier League did not rebrand, though they did implement new rules to prevent similar breakaway attempts.

America deserves all the credit for killing the European Super League

In order to kill something so evil as the Super League, you have to create it. So shouldn't Americans get credit for creating something that the world can get behind and [kill]? We did this. We created and killed it, so we deserve all the credit. Specifically this show and generally America.

While American owners (Glazers, FSG, Kroenke) were central to the Super League creation, the 'credit' for killing it is subjective and satirical here.

We figured it out afterwards. It's because FIFA controls UEFA, the Champions League, and the Super League would have sucked all the money out of UEFA. So that's why FIFA was doing this. Not because they're like some big [humanitarians].

The battle for control over European football revenue was widely cited by analysts as the primary reason for FIFA/UEFA's aggressive opposition.

The Brewers' pressure created their 'lucky' breaks

That's not luck. That's just the Brewers and what they did to you mentally, where it's like you have to be perfect and almost made teams just become a worse version of themselves because of what the Brewers were doing to them.

This is an evaluative baseball argument rather than a claim with one definitive result.

Jeffrey Simmons is an absolute game wrecker. Top three at his position, changes everyone around him. The Bears had a weakness in their defense, especially run defense. They made it a strength.

The assessment of Simmons' impact and positional ranking is partly subjective and will depend on his Chicago performance.
