Wayne Gretzky's dominance over his peers will never be seen again

Just given how much he was better than his peers at that time. I don't think that we're ever going to see anything like it. I think Lemieux was close... Wayne was like three times as good. Maybe four times as good as some guys... The sheer dominance and the amount of points that somebody could produce and comparable to the better overall competition, it's just going to be very diff Wayne was just so much more ahead of his time.

Gretzky's statistical records remain largely untouchable, supporting the dominance claim.

The Stanley Cup lifting ceremony is a top-three sports tradition

When you see that, no matter who you root for, it's a great ceremony. Like you're seeing the person lift the cup for the first time, the team captain, or like a long time veteran on that team finally get their Stanley cup. It's awesome. That's like a top three sports [ceremony].

This is a subjective opinion on sports traditions.

The Colorado Avalanche were one of the most dominant Cup winners in history

The avalanche incredible team, like an absolute wagon of a team... they went 16 and four in the playoffs. They had, they had a four game sweep [of the Predators]... the Oilers [sweep]... 4-2 against the lightning. They, if you combine it all and he'd take out overtime losses and the regular season, they had, they won a 78% clip, which is insane. It's pretty like dad is just, thrills are just awesome. Awesome hockey team that deserves to win the cup.

The Avalanche went 16-4 in the playoffs, one of the best records in the modern era.

Cale Makar has a chance to be one of the greatest defensemen ever

Cale Makar... who we talked to Whitney about it, like one of the, he has a chance to be one of the greatest defenseman ever in terms of where he's at his career right now in the talent level.

Makar has continued to dominate and is widely considered on a Hall of Fame trajectory, though 'greatest ever' remains subjective.

The Toronto Maple Leafs hiring John Chayka as GM is laughable given his track record

to get the the the one of the biggest, if not the biggest jobs in hockey as far as the general manager with the track record he has is laughable. Listen, maybe he ends up going on to have success. But to get... the biggest jobs in hockey... with the track record he has is laughable.

The hire was highly controversial in the hockey community, but its ultimate success will be judged by the Leafs' playoff performance.

John Chayka is a 'snake oil salesman' who lost his credibility in the NHL

I've talked to 20 people around the league and 19 of 'em have told me that this guy has no credibility. He's a snake, snake oil salesman. He's full of and just basically like like question completely question the guy's character.

Chayka's reputation in the league is a matter of widely reported controversy, making Biz's characterization consistent with many reports.

Gavin McKenna will be a phenom in the NHL

Gavin McKenna... who a kid I wanna follow. He's gonna be, I think he's gonna be a phenom. I'm gonna follow wherever he goes. Well now I don't get to follow him... because I'm sure the Leafs are gonna draft him.

McKenna is widely considered the top prospect for his draft class and a future NHL star.
