Andrew Luck feels more pain from his injuries because he is smart

My theory on Andrew Luck is that he's smart, so he feels more pain. Is there any credence to my dumb theory?

Dr. Chao explains that different athletes feel things differently, but the idea that high IQ correlates to higher pain perception in football is medically dubious and purely subjective.

The Bears will lose to the winless Browns

The Bears are going to lose to the Browns. So John Fox [is] 0-7 as a Bears coach when they are the favorites. That's a very impressive stat. Straight up losses. And the Browns, I will contend the Browns, in terms of pure full roster, probably have more talent than the Bears.

The Bears beat the Browns 20-3 on December 24, 2017. The Browns went on to finish the season 0-16.

Blake Bortles and Jimmy Garoppolo are currently the two best quarterbacks in the NFL

I said earlier on Larry's picks, this is the as-we-all-expected game because Blake Bortles and Jimmy Garoppolo are the two best quarterbacks in the NFL right now, as we all expected.

While both had hot streaks in late 2017, neither was considered a top-tier NFL quarterback in the long run.

The Falcons are going back to the Super Bowl

Falcons-Saints. This is actually a good game... I've put myself in the Falcons camp, and I say they're going back to the Super Bowl. I agree with that. I said that three weeks ago. They're a classic team where they have all the talent in the world, and they've played their worst football ever... the Falcons could be trouble for someone.

The Falcons lost to the Eagles in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

Duke would have won the National Championship by 50 points if they had reached the final.

I think if Duke plays in the championship game, they win by 50. Easily. That was a wasted opportunity.

This is a hyperbolic counterfactual that cannot be proven, making it subjective.

Michigan is already the favorite to win the National Championship again next season.

Michigan I think is right now the favorites to win next season. Tough to win back to back, but he has to hit the portal. He has to be active... which he already is.

This is a prediction for the next college basketball season.

College basketball is now 'pay to win' and that's unsustainable

It's a pay to win tournament. Like basketball is ruined. Unsustainable. Yeah, that's the new word that I keep hearing.

Subjective opinion about the direction of college sports governance.
