Bo Nix is the Taysom Hill of passing

If you've ever wondered what Taysom Hill would look like if he was a little bit better at passing and a little bit worse at running, you got the full Bo Nix Taysom Hill experience tonight because Sean Payton was doing the old Taysom Hill playbook for Bo Nix.

Stylistically accurate comparison for that specific game where Nix had significant rushing production and inconsistent passing.

The Saints are officially on 'Quit Watch'

The Saints are officially on quit watch. Dennis Allen, Richard Sherman said at halftime, he's like, they're trying to get Dennis Allen fired. I wouldn't be shocked. And the Saints are just like—this was so—this was a bad game.

The Saints eventually fired Dennis Allen in November 2024 after a 7-game losing streak, validating the 'Quit Watch'.

Thursday Night Football is at its best when the games are objectively terrible

Thursday night football should be bad. Yeah. We should just embrace the bad and just like, just bathe in just shitty gross football. 'cause you know, you got all the football coming up, it's like the entry point to the weekend. I kind of enjoyed the fact like even that first pass that Bo Nicks had where he split his wide receivers that were both [open].

This is a subjective aesthetic preference for sports viewing.

NFL Week 7 is a massive trap weekend for favorites

Just remember that on Monday it was reported that it was the worst weekend Vegas has had in like 20 years. It was one of the best weekends for favorites of all time. So this is a trap weekend. Watch out. Don't fall for the traps.

Week 7 of the 2024 NFL season actually saw most favorites cover again (e.g., Lions, Bills, Commanders, Eagles), defying the 'trap' prediction.

The 2026 World Cup final was boring and sucked.

It was boring ass soccer. It sucked. It made me thankful that the World Cup's over, that football's back. Now we can get back into real football, which I'm very, very thankful for. But that was actually, I think that was the best way to end the World Cup, because I'm totally fine with no more soccer now.

Fanatics Fest is a cynical place designed only to take money from fans.

It also seems like the most cynical place ever. Like, you can go to an autograph festival or a fan festival and you know that the guys are being paid to be there. And they're still like, happy to see, interact with you, all that shit. It just seems like every single thing about being at that place is just designed to take money from the people that are there.

Bryson DeChambeau is being targeted by selective rule enforcement.

I think that Bryson definitely did it and it's definitely against the rules. And he got caught for it and they enforced it against him because he's a bad boy. He's had some run-ins before. I don't think the R&A or whatever, I don't think they're particularly happy with Bryson right now.
