Hatchet was the best book of my childhood

Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. I have not been this fired up for a movie in a long time. The book is better.

Whether the book is better than the film is an inherently subjective judgment.

The Brewers have the Dodgers beaten psychologically

I feel like Brewers kind of got 'em where they want him psychologically—two in a row, started the series off, and the Dodgers are panicking now.

This is an interpretation of the teams' mental state, so it is inherently subjective.

The Rams will win at least 11 games

If you're gonna look for a bet right now, take the Rams over 10 and a half wins. They're fine. I'll say they'll be seven and three at or six and four at worst—seven and three most likely—going into the Packers game on Thanksgiving.

The Rams' 2026 regular-season win total will not be resolved until the NFL regular season ends.

Shohei Ohtani's slump started when the Dodgers owner came under investigation

What is going on truly with Shohei? You look at when this cold streak started, and it was August 18th. The Los Angeles Lakers were sold on August 17th, and I believe news of the investigation kind of hit a peak shortly thereafter. I just think it's interesting timing.

There is no established causal link between the ownership investigation and Ohtani's performance; the claim is speculative.
