I believe the Lions need a horrific natural disaster to turn their franchise around like the Saints

The Lions have the same type of heartbreaking losses that the Saints of the Saints just only have like one of those losses a year... the Lions need like a horrific natural disaster and then a quarterback to come and save the city.

The Lions have not experienced a turnaround following a natural disaster, and this is fundamentally a dark joke.

I never gave up on Sam Darnold

Sam Darnold, credit Sam Darnold for that run. It was awesome. I'm happy. I never gave up on that guy. But no, I did like Sam Darnold's toughness where he got body-slammed and I think he broke his shoulder but then went into the locker room was like this might be my only chance to get a win this year. I have to play.

Big Cat has criticized Darnold frequently, making the 'never gave up' claim factually dubious but consistent with his character.

Small ball needs to come back to baseball

There's they need to bring back small ball. Nobody's playing small ball anymore. I sound like my grandfather... You get on first base, it's easy to steal second base. You get a seeing-eye single here and there, bring that shit back. Small ball wins. That's what it's all about. You got to zig while everybody else zags. No more bunts.

The take is subjective as it advocates for a stylistic change in how the game is played.

The Lakers are Anthony Davis's team, not LeBron's

All I got right now is it's Anthony Davis's team. I think we can all agree on that. I said you fail to we really need some more injuries so that we can be like the Lakers barely [won].

While AD was dominant in the 2020 playoffs, LeBron won Finals MVP, making it difficult to argue it wasn't his team.

Nate Oats needs to teach his players to never let the police look through their phones

Let the Aden Holloway situation be a reminder to everybody that you don't have to let the police look through your phone. I actually point the finger at Nate Oats for this, because Nate Oats, you gotta do a better job of explaining the first through fifth amendments to your players. Given the history that you've had... day one you should have a, get the guys from Morgan & Morgan to come in and be like, 'Do not talk to the police if you're in trouble. Shut the fuck up.'

This is a satirical advice piece and commentary on Nate Oats' coaching responsibilities.

Mark Pope is on the hot seat at Kentucky after this tournament performance

Mark Pope on the hot seat. I think he is. I mean, I think they're gonna bring him back. I think he's safe for this year, but I think he's going into next year. Seat is warm.

Pending — Mark Pope's job status at Kentucky after the 2025-26 season is not yet resolved.

Every major college coaching opening should start by calling Brad Stevens and making him say no

You gotta make him say no. You gotta call Brad Stevens and make him say no. I will personally never stop saying that. He probably wakes up every morning and says no. Voicemail just says, 'Thank you so much for the consideration, but it's gonna be a no.' It would be shocking if he ever took another college job.

This is an opinion on coaching search strategy.
