The Cowboys significantly overpaid for Amari Cooper because of the Redskins' fake interest

The Redskins—our words—drove the price up on Amari Cooper... making the Dallas Cowboys overpay for him on a five-year hundred million dollar contract. . . That is the genius of Dan Snyder right there is making other very rich dumb people spend more of their rich dumb money.

The contract was widely criticized at the time as an overpay, though Cooper remained productive.

Tom Brady leaving the Patriots is heartbreaking but I am mostly reminiscing about the championships

It was heartbreaking but it was more of like I kind of agree with reminisced. I was reminiscing More than I was crying in my Cheerios. . . You can never take away like the six championships.

Subjective emotional state of a fan.

Bill Belichick prefers to part with players a year too early rather than a year too late

I think Belichick has proven throughout the years that he will always walk away from a guy a year too early than a year too late. And in a probably was a situation where he's like, I'm not going to pay a 42 year old quarterback 30 million dollars a year for multiple years.

Belichick famously traded/cut players like Richard Seymour and Lawyer Milloy early. Letting Brady walk fits this established pattern.

Tom Brady will lead the Buccaneers to a Super Bowl in their own stadium in his first season

How about this Hank: Tom Brady makes a Super Bowl next year with the Buccaneers in their stadium in Tampa. They play against the Patriots—who are you rooting for?

The Buccaneers won Super Bowl LV in February 2021 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

England will beat the Netherlands and then lose a heartbreaking match to Argentina

I think England's gonna win this weekend. And then you'll have the realization that it might not actually be coming home after all... losing to Argentina at that stage, that would be the most heartbreaking loss they could possibly have.

Specific tournament outcome needs verification based on the actual 2026 bracket results.

Christian Pulisic is clearly not and cannot be the face of US soccer

I'm just sick of relying on him [Pulisic] to be the face of US soccer because it can't be, it's so clear that he's not.

The 4-1 loss to Belgium was the worst USMNT performance in years

That was the worst performance from the US that I've seen in years. Just completely lackluster from the start. So much blame to go around. Tim Ream, friend of the program, good guy over the hill, turned into soccer Shawn Bradley before our very eyes got dunked on twice.

Subjective opinion on the quality of the performance.
