The Dan Quinn hire is a win-win because the Commanders get better and the Cowboys defense gets worse

Max should be ecstatic about Dan Quinn because at the very least, the Cowboys defense is gonna get worse. Right? Yep. And so if [the Commanders] get better and the Cowboys defense gets worse, I think that's a win-win for both me and you. It's a Quinn, Quinn, Quinn Quinn all around.

The Cowboys defense did regress in 2024, but the Commanders' improvement is still being evaluated under Quinn.

NFL 'retreads' like Dan Quinn run the world and usually figure it out on their second stop

Retreads run the world. Retreads run the NFL. Gary Kubiak, John Gruden, Bill Parcells, Tony Dungy, Tom Coughlin, Pete Carroll, Andy Reid, Mike Shanahan, Don Shula. Bill Belichick was a retread when he was hired by the New England Patriots. Dan Quinn, second stop, he's gonna figure it out.

Dan Quinn led the Commanders to a 12-5 record and the NFC Championship game in his first year, validating PFT's point about NFL 'retreads' figuring it out on their second stop.

Lamar Jackson should get fat because natural padding helps quarterbacks absorb hits

I think it's good if your quarterback's a little bit chunky, a little bit fat. Yeah. You get it's natural padding. It absorbs some of the hits. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady. These guys weren't in the best shape... Lamar Jackson should get fat.

Lamar Jackson actually leaned out further for the 2024 season to increase his speed.

College football needs a CBA to govern NIL and the transfer portal

I think college football needs a CBA to kind of govern this because it's clear that the federal government is not gonna step in... right now you got a fall transfer portal period, you got a spring transfer portal period... name, image and likeness was put in place just for that. What it has turned into now is free agency.

Whether college football 'needs' a CBA is an opinion about governance structure. While there have been ongoing discussions about NIL regulation and transfer portal rules, a formal CBA has not been implemented.

The 2026 World Cup final was boring and sucked.

It was boring ass soccer. It sucked. It made me thankful that the World Cup's over, that football's back. Now we can get back into real football, which I'm very, very thankful for. But that was actually, I think that was the best way to end the World Cup, because I'm totally fine with no more soccer now.

Fanatics Fest is a cynical place designed only to take money from fans.

It also seems like the most cynical place ever. Like, you can go to an autograph festival or a fan festival and you know that the guys are being paid to be there. And they're still like, happy to see, interact with you, all that shit. It just seems like every single thing about being at that place is just designed to take money from the people that are there.

Bryson DeChambeau is being targeted by selective rule enforcement.

I think that Bryson definitely did it and it's definitely against the rules. And he got caught for it and they enforced it against him because he's a bad boy. He's had some run-ins before. I don't think the R&A or whatever, I don't think they're particularly happy with Bryson right now.
