The Green Bay Packers have a soft defense

Aaron Rodgers playing great this year but similar to last year would you say the Packers might be a little a tad bit soft and say their defense might be a little soft... They are one of the last are going to just destroy some hearts they because they will get they're going to end up with a record like 12 and 4. Hmm. And Aaron Rodgers is going to be cooking at the end of the season. He's going to win a playoff game and he is going to break everybody's heart.

The Packers went 13-3 and lost at home in the NFC Championship to the more physical Buccaneers. The prediction about breaking hearts was very accurate.

The Cowboys' defense plays better when they have a backup quarterback like Ben DiNucci

It turns out that in a weird way is kind of good having a shitty quarterback playing because your defense gets this mindset of like we have to create turnovers, we have to stop everybody. Whereas before they're like, oh we got Dak, he's gonna throw for a million yards, I can take a couple plays off here.

The Cowboys defense did improve statistically in some games post-Dak, but it was largely a historically bad unit regardless of the QB.

I'm 90% sure the Cleveland Browns are going to make the playoffs

I'm pretty sure in part that the Cleveland Browns are going to make the playoffs. Yeah. No, I agree. I'm like, 90% sure that the Browns are going to be a playoff team this year and that's going to be a lot of fun.

The Browns finished 11-5 and made the playoffs in 2020.

The Tennessee Titans are a fraudulent football team

I'm going to use the F-word on the Titans. I think the Titans where a fraudulent football... I think they're fun when they were five and oh I was saying I don't think they're real because Ryan Tannehill, we should always stick with our gut on Ryan Tannehill.

The Titans finished 11-5 and won the division, but were eliminated in the Wild Card round, lending some weight to the idea they weren't elite contenders.

Nate Oats needs to teach his players to never let the police look through their phones

Let the Aden Holloway situation be a reminder to everybody that you don't have to let the police look through your phone. I actually point the finger at Nate Oats for this, because Nate Oats, you gotta do a better job of explaining the first through fifth amendments to your players. Given the history that you've had... day one you should have a, get the guys from Morgan & Morgan to come in and be like, 'Do not talk to the police if you're in trouble. Shut the fuck up.'

This is a satirical advice piece and commentary on Nate Oats' coaching responsibilities.

Mark Pope is on the hot seat at Kentucky after this tournament performance

Mark Pope on the hot seat. I think he is. I mean, I think they're gonna bring him back. I think he's safe for this year, but I think he's going into next year. Seat is warm.

Pending — Mark Pope's job status at Kentucky after the 2025-26 season is not yet resolved.

Every major college coaching opening should start by calling Brad Stevens and making him say no

You gotta make him say no. You gotta call Brad Stevens and make him say no. I will personally never stop saying that. He probably wakes up every morning and says no. Voicemail just says, 'Thank you so much for the consideration, but it's gonna be a no.' It would be shocking if he ever took another college job.

This is an opinion on coaching search strategy.
