The key to beating the Saints in the playoffs is to 'hurt' Drew Brees just enough to get Jameis Winston or Taysom Hill in the game, but not 'injure' him.

If you knock Drew Brees out of the game, you can win the game. If you hit Drew Brees, you can win the game, if you don't injure him badly. ... You need to hurt him, not injure him. Then you get like the 60% Drew Brees that is not as good as the 100% Taysom Hill.

The Saints lost to the Buccaneers in the playoffs; Brees was pressured and threw 3 interceptions, though he wasn't knocked out for a backup.

Tom Brady is 1-3 against the NFC East in the playoffs and we are the best division at beating him

Tom Brady [is] 1 and 3 against the NFC East in the playoffs. You might recall we're the best division against Tom Brady. So I said before the game, I was going to wait for the giants. If the football team lost, I want to open up the bandwagon.

Brady was 1-3 against the NFC East in the playoffs at the time (wins: 2004 Eagles; losses: 2007 Giants, 2011 Giants, 2017 Eagles). He improved to 2-3 by beating Washington the following week.

The Eagles players have to be pissed at Doug Pederson for throwing the game by benching Jalen Hurts

I would be pissed if I was an Eagles player. Oh. And because the Eagles player like, what does an Eagles player care? What if they're going to move up three spots in the draft, but the time of the player that you draft is going to be like, Oh, a really good player. You're probably be retired or on a different team.

Reports surfaced later that several Eagles players were indeed frustrated and had to be held back from confronting Pederson.

The Baltimore Ravens are officially the team that no one wants to play in the playoffs

Starting with the Ravens Bengals the Baltimore Ravens. We said it last week. They are the team officially. No one wants to play. They got their swagger back. Five straight wins, 525 yards, 404 yards rushing.

The Ravens beat the Titans in the Wild Card round but lost in the Divisional round to the Bills.

Nate Oats needs to teach his players to never let the police look through their phones

Let the Aden Holloway situation be a reminder to everybody that you don't have to let the police look through your phone. I actually point the finger at Nate Oats for this, because Nate Oats, you gotta do a better job of explaining the first through fifth amendments to your players. Given the history that you've had... day one you should have a, get the guys from Morgan & Morgan to come in and be like, 'Do not talk to the police if you're in trouble. Shut the fuck up.'

This is a satirical advice piece and commentary on Nate Oats' coaching responsibilities.

Mark Pope is on the hot seat at Kentucky after this tournament performance

Mark Pope on the hot seat. I think he is. I mean, I think they're gonna bring him back. I think he's safe for this year, but I think he's going into next year. Seat is warm.

Pending — Mark Pope's job status at Kentucky after the 2025-26 season is not yet resolved.

Every major college coaching opening should start by calling Brad Stevens and making him say no

You gotta make him say no. You gotta call Brad Stevens and make him say no. I will personally never stop saying that. He probably wakes up every morning and says no. Voicemail just says, 'Thank you so much for the consideration, but it's gonna be a no.' It would be shocking if he ever took another college job.

This is an opinion on coaching search strategy.
