The Vikings are intentionally delaying JJ McCarthy's return from injury to protect him from pressure and avoid admitting their mistake in not re-signing Sam Darnold.

My theory... was that they just don't want JJ McCarthy to feel like there's any pressure on him in case he has to in case he doesn't start out the season playing well. ... they're just really taking their time, bringing JJ back after playing. ... they don't have to face the fact that they didn't resign Sam Darnold until JJ McCarthy officially sucks.

Vikings weren't intentionally delaying McCarthy. He started Week 1 but suffered multiple injuries (ankle, concussion, hand fracture), playing only 10 games. They let Darnold leave in FA, showing commitment to McCarthy.

Trevor Lawrence is the most sackable quarterback in the NFL because his spin moves never work.

I think [Trevor Lawrence] is the most sackable quarterback we have... Trevor Lawrence I think is over for a hundred on spin moves that don't work. He like, he'll spin or try to sidestep and a guy will get one arm on him and he'll be sacked.

This is a subjective evaluation of Lawrence's pocket presence and sack rate.

The Rams are officially Super Bowl contenders.

The Rams are for real, for real. They basically are in the, can we get everyone healthy for the playoffs? Can we be healthy when the playoffs come around? ... Matthew Stafford is still just as good as ever. ... Super Bowl contenders.

The Rams were Super Bowl contenders (12-5, Stafford MVP, NFCCG) but lost to Seahawks 27-31 in the NFCCG.

Trayvon Walker is the most forgettable number one overall pick in NFL history.

Trayvon Walker. I think he's got to be the most forgettable number one overall pick ever. And it was two years ago. ... He isn't terrible. ... but he, but he's not like, he doesn't do those flashes of anything spectacular.

Subjective opinion on legacy and memorability.

The Rams' Australia travel plan was an all-time 'fuck it' move

It was a terrible idea that Sean McVay tried to do, but I have to respect how much of an all-time fuck-it move it was to just pretend that time zones don't exist. He was just like, you know what, fuck it, we're not gonna adapt. We're gonna fly in, fly out.

The Rams lost the Australia opener after using the fly-in/fly-out approach, supporting the criticism in this game-specific judgment.

KOC will get the best out of Kyler Murray

I think that what he's gonna get the absolute best outta Kyler Murray that he possibly can at this point, which I think should be good enough to be a pretty good team this year.

Kyler Murray's 2026 season and Minnesota's performance will determine whether this forecast holds.

Jayden Daniels is going to remind everyone that the bad man is back

I think Jayden Daniels, he's as healthy as he has been since the start of last season. ... I think that he's gonna remind a lot of people who he is. Yeah. That's what I think. I think the bad man might be back.

Daniels' 2026 season will determine whether he re-established himself as an elite or feared quarterback.
