Winning close games makes the Vikings more dangerous for the playoffs

I think it's actually good that the Vikings are winning all these like super close games and not blowing anybody out. I actually think like learning how to win in weird ways... All that high pressure practice that they're getting in during the regular season is gonna be very good for them in the playoffs.

The Vikings went on to lose their first playoff game at home to the Giants, who were 9-7-1, in exactly the kind of close game PFT said they were prepared for.

The Jets will trade Zach Wilson

I think they're gonna end up trading [Zach Wilson] because the way the teams united behind Mike White, I mean Garrett Wilson I think tweeted or said in post game, I'll go to work, I'll get to work something special about that boy talking about Mike White.

While Wilson was benched for 2023 for Aaron Rodgers, he wasn't actually traded until April 2024 to the Broncos. This take was eventually right in spirit but the Jets held him longer than expected.

Brian Daboll played too conservatively by punting in overtime

He really pus it out in overtime with the punt that he calls... It was fourth and three on the Washington 45 yard line minute 42 seconds remaining in overtime a tie game 20 to 20 and he decided to punt the ball away.

The game ended in a tie, which is a verifiable result of the decision to punt.

Jalen Hurts is the NFL MVP

The only other thing I really need or would like to add is that Jalen Hurts is the mvp. He was unbelievable today... Mahomes couldn't get a win [against the Bengals], Jalen Hurts the MVP right now.

Hurts finished 2nd in MVP voting to Patrick Mahomes.

The Celtics are statistically a better team without Jaylen Brown

Jalen Brown has the second worst plus minus of any five time All Star over the past 10 years... Also the Celtics win more games without Jalen Brown than when he is playing... Last year with, with Jalen Brown, they won 66% of their games without, they won 80%... Their entire career with Jalen Brown. They are 263 and 1 31. That's 67% without Brown. There're 60 and 26, 70%.

The stats provided are fictional/hypothetical within the 2026 setting, but presented as fact to support a 'Ewing Theory' style take.

The Celtics are no longer eligible to be the NBA's team of the 2020s without Jaylen Brown

If the Celtics rebuild and they get back to like the NBA finals, let's say in like 2029, let's say they win another chip in 2029, that's a different team. Like the core is completely different without Jalen Brown. I don't know that you could consider the Celtics to ever even be eligible for team of the 2020s. Because it's gonna be two different iterations of the team.

Inherently subjective criteria for what constitutes a 'team of the decade'.

FIFA must change the rule so a red card does not result in a next-game suspension

I think it's just a, a terrible rule that if you get a red card from a game that you're also suspended for the next game. Yeah. You're already serving your punishment by, by sitting out the rest of that game and your team has to go down one player. Why do you have to sit out the next game?

This is a subjective opinion on sporting rules.
