Pitchers shouldn't let a stadium's dimensions dictate how they approach hitters

I've always thought the environment can't change how you pitch. I just don't believe in that. ... You can't really let stadiums dictate how you're gonna go out, guys. You're gonna pitch to your strength, you know who you are and you're gonna attack hitter's weaknesses. ... We're both playing on the same field, so everything should kind of even out.

A subjective philosophy on pitching.

The Hall of Fame Game is the number one 'watch for five minutes, then turn it off' game of the year

The Hall of Fame Game is the number one 'I'm gonna watch it for five minutes, hear the music, see the helmets, and then turn it off' Game of the year.

Stefon Diggs is the best number two receiver in the NFL

He is the self-proclaimed best number two receiver in the NFL. I agree with that assessment entirely. Like the offense does feel a lot better with a solid number two to Terry, so that's great.

Pete Crow-Armstrong should be the National League MVP over Shohei Ohtani

Now that Shohei is not pitching, PCA should be the MVP. I think most people are coming around to it... PCA is batting .350 with 47 runs scored, 15 doubles, five triples, 20 home runs, 45 RBIs, 16 stolen bases in 57 games since May 30th. And he also has 11 defensive runs saved in that time. He's the best player in the National League right now.

Pending the 2026 MLB MVP vote.

I would love to return to the Detroit Tigers as a free agent in November

I would love to play my whole career in Detroit. And hopefully those negotiations can pick back up in November once the playoffs are done and we'll see where that goes.

Pending Skubal's free agency decision in the upcoming offseason.

Winning is a band-aid that cures everything in sports, regardless of the problem

Winning cures everything. You know, winning is, it's a band-aid that, you know, it doesn't matter if it's a bullet hole, whatever, you know, it cures everything and you just kind of go play baseball.

This is a subjective athlete philosophy.

AJ Hinch is the best manager in baseball and is always thinking multiple plays ahead

I probably won't. He's got, he's, he's so smart. AJ's, I mean, he's the best manager in the game. So wherever he wants to take the game or whatever he wants to do... it feels like every move that is made during the game... it feels like it's always in our advantage... he's really good at his job.

Whether Hinch is the 'best' is subjective, though his track record and peer reputation are very high.
