An NFL GM should draft Joe Milton #1 overall just for his arm strength

Joe Milton's a franchise quarterback. Yeah. Is that fucking throw is so awesome. I said if I'm a gm I'm drafting this guy One one overall. And that's the thing with Joe Milton is like, you will fall. All you need to know about Joe Milton and the most impressive tape out there besides this one pass that he had today, which was like 75 yards, half a step into it. ... This man can throw fruit farther than anybody else that's ever lived. Give me that guy.

Joe Milton was drafted in the 6th round (193rd overall) by the Patriots, nowhere near the #1 pick.

AI and Hawkeye technology for NFL first downs will make the sport less fun

I don't like it at all. ... People are always like, oh, we're we're measuring like this billion dollar industry with a chain and sticks held by old retired guys on the sideline. Yeah. That's part of why it rocks. ... If you put AI into sports and you make robot umps and robot referees, you are depriving men of somewhere between 50 and 75% of the conversations they have with each other. ... What the fuck are we gonna talk about?

This is a philosophical opinion on the nature of sports fandom.

The Cowboys must sign Dak Prescott to an extension this year to manage the salary cap

I think they have to get something done with him. I mean, he's got a 59 and a half million dollars cap number. They want to get a big deal done with CD Lamb. They want to get a big deal done with Micah Parsons. They want to upgrade their roster. Jerry Jones himself has said they're all in. Well, how can you be all in if your quarterback is taking up that much of the cap? Right. And by the way, if you don't get it done with him, then after the season, you can't tag him. Right. So he could just leave.

Dak Prescott signed a 4-year, $240 million extension on September 8, 2024, just before the first game of the season, fulfilling Schefter's prediction.

The presence of Bill Belichick and Mike Vrabel on the market will speed up coach firings next season

I think the fact that [Vrabel's] out there, the fact that Bill [Belichick] is out there, I think it speeds up the coaching firing cycle next season when teams are ordinarily making moves. We get to Thanksgiving. Usually. Sometimes there's a move that is made early in the year. One stray firing, oh, Carolina fired Frank Reich. But usually teams wait till after Thanksgiving and then they start trickling in. I, I think it wouldn't shock me if we started getting stuff like if late, late October, early November, because teams want to go talk to Vrabel. They want to go talk to Belichick.

Firings did occur (Robert Saleh in October 2024, Dennis Allen in November 2024), but as of February 2025, Belichick and Vrabel have not yet been hired as head coaches in the 2025 cycle, though the firings did happen early.

The compensation for a Justin Fields trade will be between a 2nd and a 4th round pick

I think the Justin Fields compensation is somewhere between what Alex Smith got [two 2s] and what Sam Darnold brought. [Sam Darnold] was for a four, a six that year and a four and a two the next year. So three picks. A two, four, and six. And I think that the Justin Fields compensation is somewhere between [those]. So it's like a second and a fourth. A two and a four.

Justin Fields was traded to the Steelers on March 16, 2024, for a conditional 6th-round pick (which could become a 4th), significantly lower than the 2nd round pick Schefter predicted.

If the Texans had lost that game and gotten the number one pick in that Draft, if that had happened, I think they might've taken Bryce Young. And I don't know if they would've traded the pick, which means Chicago wouldn't have Caleb Williams, which means they wouldn't be shopping Justin Fields this year.

Big Dom's suspension is the definitive reason why the Eagles' season fell apart

The report is essentially that Big Dom was a lot more than just a security guard. He was essentially Nick Sirianni's emotional support animal. And when he got suspended from the sideline, Nick Sirianni spiraled outta control was fighting with players. And Big Dom is the reason why their season fell apart. And I 100% believe it.
