Every NFL team should claim they wanted a quarterback after the draft just in case they're good

If you're an NFL team and you can always just throw out there like, we wanted to take this guy on draft night, nobody will remember that if he ends up stinking in like three years. But in the chance that he is good, you can always point back and be like, we actually had him.

This is a strategic recommendation rather than a testable fact, though many teams do indeed do this (e.g., the Bruce Arians/Mahomes story).

The NHL should rig the draft lottery for major markets

If you're the NHL, you should absolutely rig the draft. Duh. This is entertainment. Yes. Listen, you're a multi-billion dollar corporation. Do you want your best players to be playing for teams that nobody cares about? Yeah. No you don't. You want them in Chicago.

Whether the draft is actually rigged is unprovable, but his stance that they *should* is a matter of opinion.

Connor Bedard has the best shot the NHL has ever seen

His shot is like the best they've ever seen. Like it's, it's, it's like insane how he's able, what he's able to do and how he's able to quickly elevate the puck and he's just, he has a lethal shot. So, so, so it's it's cool. He's a phenom.

While 'best ever' is subjective, Bedard's rookie season showed an elite shot that immediately translated to the NHL level.

If the team's not that great, he's gonna get to play a little bit. If anyone goes, if anyone breathes on him, [Ryan Reaves] goes up and just... I would sign the two toughest guys... Just put a goon line on the fourth line. And nobody's gonna go near him.

The Blackhawks did not sign Reaves (who went to the Leafs), but they did bring in veterans like Nick Foligno for leadership and toughness.

That was a crazy scene because if Nikola Jokic gets suspended, that will be absolutely bullshit because Mat Ishbia... he grabbed the ball, wouldn't give it up, and then he kind of like chested into Jokic and then Jokic gave him a little shove. If Adam Silver suspends Jokic for this game, it's bullshit.

LeBron James might be better as a Robin than a Batman for the Lakers

I actually think that it was genius for the Eagles to take [Jalen Carter]. And the Bears did not take him because everything we've heard about him, he needs veteran leadership around him. The Bears do not have that. The Eagles have the opposite. They have a lot of great defensive players, a lot of older Fletcher Cox, like a lot of guys that will help him.
